Java With Javelyn Indie Music Nite is an event helping to build a music community in Los Angeles and beyond for the true artists.
JWJ now takes place at two clubs: The Talking Stick, a new club with a nice, warm and rock vibe - located in Venice, CA (on 1411C Lincoln Blvd., Venice) every 1st Fridays and Unurban Cafe (3301 W. Pico Blvd., Santa Monica) every 3rd Saturday. From time to time, we also book for MacDay LA and other events with the artists we find through our JWJ events. JWJ seeks to provide an enjoyable, eclectic independent music experience to both sooth and stimulate those coming off their work/stress week

quest to finish her second CD - she decided it was a good idea to gear some of her energy into 'giving back' to the artist community and fellow artists.
The first step was to provide a venue and avenues to gather other dedicated, hardworking artists; to share production, radioplay, gigging and road experiences.
Javelyn said: "We could all learn more. Other artists are some of the best sources who help us climb upwards to the"next step".
So what was next?
The next step was putting together something where, not only it would help market the artists that joined JWJ but put out quality music that the fans would enjoy! After much hardwork and restless nights it happened...
A Java With Javelyn Indie Music, Vol. 1 CD Compilation and Java With Javelyn Indie Music, Vol. 2 CD Compilationwere born. Most recently, Java With Javelyn Indie Music, Vol. 3 CD Compilation has followed with the best roster of indie music material yet. This fall, we will launch a search to find the best indie artists we can find for our Java With Javelyn Indie Music, Vol. 4 CD Compilation. The CDs have been quite successful in getting placed with music supervisors, red carpet events the the like, and every artist chosen for these CDs get priority booking at our Java With Javelyn Indie Music Nites. Java With Javelyn Indie Music Nites Live helps provide a place to share the music of some of the best independent bands around...independent artists making music 'under the radar' until they are ripe and ready to go mainstream and negotiate what they need to survive and be happy creating their craft.
JWJ Indie nites is a great place to dig up new and upcoming artists and music to add to their private collection...and who knows, you might go home with a goodie bag full of fun surprises provided by our sponsors at each event.
As for production and recording, X-It Rite Records has teamed up with GFI Entertainment and JWJ to help produce a the next compilation CD with some of the finest independent music and up and coming hardworking artists, worthy of all the attention they can get.
X-It Rite Records is part of the new breed of record company, not interested in "signing" artists so much as teaming with them to help take it to the next level through promotion, placement and shows with other artists of the same calibur. The last compilation CDs have seen an artist chosen to write the title track for a film, and two more having their songs chosen to be in the soundtrack for various theatrical releases.
