We are influenced by events in our lives as well as the music from our past and present. This will include a list of music from the late 70's to today. Our main influences are 80's & 90's rock and alternative (Soundgarden, Nirvana, Satriani, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lynard Skynard, Metallica, Tool, BLS, etc.) as well as modern Christian groups (Kutless, 1000 Foot Krutch, Disciple, Relient K, Pillar, Skillet, etc.).

Don't know that we sound like anyone, but Jawbone. Let us know who you think. Our style(s) cover anything from a blues & southern rock to heavy metal to somewhat contemporary sounding tunes.
Jawbone is a progressive Christian rock/alternative band based out of Valdosta, Ga. The band consists of four members that have a heart and yearning on their lives to spread the word of God through the medium of music to everyone willing to listen.
With members of the band coming from different backgrounds and churches, the message brought forth is done in a non-denominational manner; a message that we are all covered under the blood of Christ Jesusand that we reach salvation through his grace and mercy. Our songs focus on the trials and tribulations faced and what the power of God has done in our lives. They are our testimonies put together with music, giving praise to God for what he has done and worshiping Him for doing those things. Jawbone was formed in 2004 with their entire focus on God's offer of salvation, love and hope.
Jawbone gets its name from Judges 15:15 The scripture is this: "15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. (KJV)
We consider ourselves as instruments to be used by God to bring down the enemy so we can spread the word through the music that we play. What most people dont realize is that God created everything, even music. The devil tries to take credit for things he didnt create. Rock music is one of those things. We are simply taking back the stolen ground from the enemy. The members of Jawbone are all God fearing devoted believers. Also, we believe that Christ died on the cross for our sins and that there is no work that we can do great enough to enter heaven without Him.
The band member are all from the Valdosta Metro area and are excited to see just what God can do in this area and throughout the world. Keep us in your prayers to help us find those who would hear the Word through our ministry.
