Top Choice Clique is MC FORCE, GEMINI, JAWN P.Boston Hip Hop from the golden era,,, Made a splash with underground hit Peace Of Mind (Sample 89) And then went on to sign a major label deal with A&M Records.
We recorded an album that was never released (Due to Major Label Red Tape Etc.). Even though the group may have fell shy of it's full potential I still believe we hold a chapter within the Golden Era of Boston Hip Hop as one of the true pioneers....

Repress of an obscure groundbreaker from 1990, which played a large part in putting Boston on the hip hop map before ED OG came along and finished the job. Grand slam 2 devoted 2 whole pages to this single alone in their random rap files section, and it’s been resurrected recently by DJ Ivory on his mighty ‘hear no evil volume 2’ mix cd. ‘Peace of mind’ features Melvin Bliss’ ‘Substitution’ drum break as also heard on ‘Ego Trippin’ and ‘Don’t believe the hype’, while ‘You can’t deal’ samples Lyn Collins’ ‘Think’ to particularly funky effect. “Definitely the best of the new pack from boston” said Source mag in 1990. Vocal & inst versions to satisfy any die hard old school fan.

Film co-star Tone Loc (rapper Big Daddy Kane is also in the film) takes contemporary hip-hop tracks and helps the soundtrack's producers make the connection between the Wild West and today's urban frontiers. Crews are crews, according to this record, and the consequences of being left out of society are spelled out on both fronts, particularly Top Choice Clique's "I Think to Myself" and Intelligent Hoodlum's "The Posse (Shoot 'Em Up)." The more adventuresome music used in the film is also included here.
