About me: "Life's been good to me, so far." - Joe Walsh -
I've been on this crazy ride for over 3 decades, now. Still having the time of my life. I'm an artist in many fields. I play guitar and write music in my spare time. I do alot of sketch art and design, as well. I, recently, got into Photoshop to color and texturize my work. I used to design tattoos for a side job, now it has become a hobby. Cooking has become my main hobby, now. I trained under a Master Chef for a few years and became his Sous Chef. Now, I do alot of experimental cooking. I'm trying to write a cook book. About half the way there.
As for my geek side, I'm a comic book collector. I've been collecting since the early 80s. I've written and drew some underground comics for a couplle years.
Been all over the place, but Jacksonville, FL, is where I call home. Macon County, GA, is my second home, I try to visit about two to three times a year.
I've been married for the last three years to a great loving wife. We just had our first born, who I named after my grandfather. Together, we have a great and very close family.
Who I'd like to meet: I've been all around and met quite a few people. I did alot of freelance security in GA and FL over the years. I've done backstage security for many big-name venues: Rolling Stones, Drivin' 'n' Cryin', Lynard Skynard, Jackyl and Molly Hatchet and met quite a few of the members. I grew up in a family that was friends with the Van Zants and other members of Lynard Skynard and .38 Special. I did a few security gigs for pro-wrestling venues and have met Rick Flair, Paul "The Big Show" Wight and Roddy Piper. Bob Burden, creater of the Mystery Men (comic and movie with Ben Stiller) and Flaming Carrot Comics, is a close family friend. I've met Fred Durst quite a few times at a friend's parties. I've served Jimmy Carter, Sam Nunn and Zel Miller at Jimmy's 80th Birthday party. I've sat on the front porch of Billy Carter's general store in Plains, Ga, drinking soda, while my grandfather and Billy sat and talked while drinking "Billy" Beer.
The best people to meet, though, are the normal no-name people, who a friendly enough to just stop and say hello.
Wishing you and yours the happiest and warmest memories that the season has to offer. May your season be filled with that precious brotherly love that we all hope for in all our daily life and work.
