The best show ever was My So-Called Life. I even own the first-edition complete series which came in a MSCL lunchbox! Also, ya gotta respect the storytelling of Lost.

So, what's the book about? I'm glad you asked...
The rules are pretty simple. There are only two. Rule number one: You listen. Number two: You pass it on. Hopefully, neither one will be easy for you. (from Cassette 1: Side A)
Hannah Baker records the defining moments of the past few years of her life onto seven audiotapes. Thirteen stories involving several people at her school. She packs the tapes into a shoebox and mails them to the first person on the list. Then, she goes home to take her life.
Two weeks later, Clay Jensen comes home from school to find a box with no return address leaning against his front door. Inside are seven audiotapes, their sides labeled 1 through 13 in blue nail polish. He has no idea what’s on the tapes, which is kind of exciting…until he presses play.
With Hannah’s voice as his narrator, Clay spends the rest of the night wandering through town, visiting places mentioned on the tapes, unearthing the thirteen reasons why Hannah chose to kill herself.
And one reason belongs to him.

Blurb from Sherman Alexie
:Thirteen Reasons Why is a mystery, eulogy, and ceremony. Twenty or thirty times, I snapped the book shut when a sentence, an image, or line of dialogue was too beautiful and painful. But I, afraid and curious, would always return to this amazing book. I know, in the years to come, I will often return to this book.
Blurb from Ellen Hopkins: Every once in awhile you come across a book that you can't get out of your mind, one you have to rush back to if you must put it down for some reason. Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why is one of those books, and is at the very top of my personal "Must-Read" list.
Blurb from Chris Crutcher:Very clever premise, strong voice, perfect suspense. This one will keep you reading. Jay Asher is a fine storyteller.
Blurb from Gordon Korman: A spectacular first novel. Jay Asher tells his story with such honesty and simplicity that the tragedy feels shatteringly real.
Who I'd like to meet: readers, writers, booksellers, and library people (y'know...cool people!)
THANKS!!!! for writing thirteen reasons why, its an amazing book. It helps me to better understand things in a way that i usually dont. Thanks again!!!!!
when i read thiretten reason why i had no idea that i would not be able to put the book down. I loved it, infact i read it in a day, then passed to my friends who did the same, and passed it to another friend who also read it one day!
I loved your book it really opened my eyes to the stuff that people do to others out in the world and its cruel the things that people do to each other. I hope that you write other books because this one was really good. Oh and what are we suppose to wear on jay asher day for the people that live in longview ? Loved your presentation when you came to my school. -Ashley-
TOTALLY LOVED YOUR BOOK! It was haunting and moving and full of wisdom I think most of us never pay any real attention to: that our words and our actions, especially our lack of action, have consequences and we have the power to decide whether those consequences will be good or bad. Can't wait to read what else you publish! God Bless! And may God bless you with continued success! -Annabell
Jay Asher, you're one of my new favorite authors (: i LOVED Thirteen Reasons Why, it was a true work of art. Hannah's character touched me in a lot of ways, and i loved the fact that her name was hannah ;) your book really made me think about how my everyday actions can and will effect other people's lives. Now that's not to say I'm a bully or anything but i know i have hurt other people's feelings in the past. I thank you for writing this book because it really made me think, i mean REALLY think. much love from ohio! -Hannah Scarbury (:
to the girl below me giving lyrics advie i'd like to add something on.
somethine i said, by safety suit is pretty good too. or any one of there songs possibly.
anyways, i've been really stuck on jodi picoult books recently. i've read plain truth and my sisters keeper. if you've read any of them could you recommend me your favorite? thankyouuu.
So, I know you probably hear this all of the time, but I really loved Thirteen Reasons Why. It was absolutely fantastic :]
I've heard rumours of a movie, which would be awesome. If you need any suggestions for the soundtrack "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" by Deathcab For Cutie is good. And "The Reasons Why" by the Cure is amazing as well. Not only is the title fitting, but the lyrics are just as wonderful as your book :]
I just finished Thirteen Reasons Why and wow. I couldn't put it down. If I didn't have to work I probably would have read it in one day. It was just amazing. I can't wait to read more from you.
Hi! We would really appreciate it if later on we would be able to "interview" you once we get our site up and running with more friends. That is, if and when you ever have time. Please keep in touch with us so we could see if it's a possibility. We'd also appreciate it if you would help support us and help us gain friends!
you are such an amazing writer. your book is probably the best one i've read yet! i've recommended it to so many people. they all loved it, too! keep writing, Jay! :)
your book was the best book i have ever read. im a very picky reader, and i mean picky, but your book was so well written and so easy to relate to that i had finished over half of the book before i even knew it!!!! reading this reminded me alot about when i was in high school, even though i just graduated in 2008, which wasnt that long ago. but anyways... your book inspired me to be.... pretty much an open book. to not let what anyone else says get me down and to always keep on keepin' on, in the best way possible. that there is always someone out there willing to help, as long as you let them into your space, and that sometimes it may take a while, and sometimes it may be too late, but love will eventually catch up with you.
thank you for this amazing book. i have recommended it to pretty much everyone i know and they all say that it sounds like something that they would love to read. i cant wait for a new book. keep up the amazing, inspiring work.
In addition to that list, in another seperate Selling-List for children and young adult books (controlled by Buchreport as well) the book has reached 4th position. Well done!
Unfortunately I didnt find the list online, so you have to believe me. ;)
I have about three copies of your book. And I don't have any of them right now, because I seriously tell as many people as I can to read your book, and let them borrow a copy I have. Honestly I think that everyone should read your book, because it's the most touching and phasing thing I've ever read. It makes everyone who reads it a better person.
