Some would say the magic happened in late 2004, in Phoenix, Arizona
Jay Allan returned to his hometown, mostly for lack of means to go anywhere else, and quickly found an outlet at local open mics playing guitar, bass and singing with whomever and where ever he could. While playing at an open mic, hosted by friends and local music moguls Ethan Newman and Tod Miller of TATE, Jay was struck and instantly drawn in by the angelic and soul-soothing vocal talents of one Ashley Norton. Jay answered Ashley with his simple, yet rich and uplifting melodies. Together with their truthful, provocative and insightful lyrics and harmonies, the two felt the musical chemistry and acted quickly to collaborate.
Within only a year, Jay and Ash have made strong and memorable impressions on audiences throughout Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. They continue to grow and turn heads at all of their shows, whether it be a duo, with friends, or with their full band. Weaving elements of rock, reggae, jazz, folk and just about any style they come by, the two pour their heart-felt emotion and honesty in their original and covered material. Each note sings its way into your mind and reminds you of where they come from. The songs draw from their vast catalogue of material by their influences, ranging all the way from artists such as Aretha Frankin, Bob Marley, The Black Crowes, Sublime and Phishthe list goes on and on.
For Jay and Ash, the only way is forward and up. Their ever evolving and easily-relatable sound shows no signs of slowing as more and more fans continue to jump on for the ride. After only a year of live shows and one live album under their belt (Jay and Ash Live at ARMITAGE), Jay and Ash are branching out further and further. They are currently in the studio recording their first live album with a full band. Grab on where you can and hold tight because Jay & Ash want to take you with them.

This will be the first annual white party to be held inside the new Social Nightclub. For this special event we brought in someone who is no stranger to these parties, Donovan SF. He has been host of the yearly white party inside Ruby Skye for the last 8 years. This will actually be Donovan’s FIRST appearance here in Sacramento! We have brought in an expert in props and decor as well to make Social look very plush in white. Avenue Illumination will be bringing in white decor to entice your senses. I hope we will see you Thursday July 30th for what is sure to be an evening full of fun and fantasy!
