Mainly drawing & being a Dad takes up most of my time.
Several different types/formats of art, comics (both collecting & tryin' to get my own published), music & tryin' to get to an occasional show, movies, liftin', PS2, outdoors, camping, cold beer, mt.biking, climbing, runnin', sackyhacking, fishin', strong coffee, hurting myself playin softball, Guitar Hero, playin' real guitar chords badly, and eating White Castle hamburgers. Basically too many interests w/not enough time to do em all.
Music
A wide range from Beasties to Bluegrass. In no particular order: Blues Traveler, Yonder Mountain, U2, Allmans, Derek Trucks, Widespread, Nappy Roots, MOE, OAR, North Miss All Stars, SCI, Salmon, Wilco, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Honest MC, Greg Brown, Steve Earle, Big Head Todd, Subdudes, Jason & The Scorchers, Morphine, SCOTS, Keller Williams, The Cult, Bawn in the Mash, Cash, Floyd, Dead, Stones, Robert Bradley, Hackensaw Boys, Zepplin, Nickel Creek, John Prine, The Galoots, My Morning Jacket, Old Crow Med Show, Bob Marley, Tenacious D, Public Enemy, Guitar Hero Soundtracks. It's quite a mix & I could go on & on. I tend to gravitate towards a lot of genres as long as it doesn't suck. I'm just kinda kooky like that.
Movies
Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Star Wars Trilogy(s), Hellboy, Spiderman(s), Dawn of the Dead ('04), Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction, X-Men(s), 300, Sin City, JAWS, 40 Year Old Virgin, Old School, Office Space, Let it Ride, Dancin' Outlaw, The Incredibles, American Werewolf in London, Cars, King Kong, Dazed & Confused, Big Lebowski, Caddyshack, Shawshank, Raiders/Indiana Jones flicks, Lords of Dogtown, Transformers, Superbad, Cloverfield, IronMan (list goes on...)
Television
The Simpsons, The Office, Survivor (also applied for 5 times and goin' on 6), RealTime, The Daily Show, Colbert, Deadwood, Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld reruns, Venture Bros., Metalocolypse, Cubbies/Kentucky Wildcat/Jacksonville Jags ball games.
Books
The only books I have time to read these days (that aren't comics, which I also barely have time for) are children's books that I read to the little one quite a bit.
Heroes
My own superheroes I created that protect us here in Western Kentucky...Red Mullet & CowBoy (shameless plug). It's one of my comic book ideas that I'm currently workin' on & tweaking to (re)submit to publishers. Here's a brief synopsis & preview of the story/concept, and you can see sample pages under my pics.
-------
Two community college students in rural
Western Kentucky decide to become superheroes
to do something about the region's growing
meth epidemic.
Armed with a variety of jimmy-rigged weapons
and gadgets that they make from items bought
from the local hardware store, they start
moonlighting as heroes to combat the problem.
They set out to take down meth labs & makers
only to find out along the way that Western
Kentucky also has a major werewolf infestation.
Can these two heroes do something about it...
or are they in over their heads?
The Red Mullet movie poster done by (& starring) fellow artist & friend Andrew Chandler. You can also check out the teaser/movie trailer that Andrew made below...
Here's another new flick of Red Mullet (again played by Andrew) interrupting the opening ceremony at the 30th Annual Superman Celebration (6/12/08). He made an awesome RM the whole weekend at the SC '08! Thanks Andrew!
...and here is another vid of Andrew portraying Red Mullet in Metropolis again, but this time during the SC'08 costume contest. Many thanks to him again!

About me: I'm a freelance artist/illustrator/cartoonist & Daddy.
Here's some of my stuff to check out...
I do freelance illustrations & cartoons for clients all over the country from my basement studio/lair here in Paducah, KY. I've provided t-shirt designs & illustrations for WWE, NFL, NCAA, Universal, Warner Bros, Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Hanna Barbara, King Features, Rainforest Cafe, NASCAR, Bawn in the Mash, Telluride Music Fest, North Miss All Stars, Blues Traveler, & Yonder Mountain String Band just to name a few. I also create other original characters & illustrations for some of the same t-shirt companies if they need those too. I've also done work/cartoons for humor magazines like Cracked, Jokester, & Thwack.
In 2007 also launched my own preprint t-shirt line, Kenfunky Tees.
(see my top friend--->).
I feel very lucky to be able to be doin' what I'm doin'...but at the same time I feel there are a lot of things that I still want to achieve. I have some big plans for new stuff to try in '08.
I have a couple of ideas for comics that I'm going to be submitting this year to comic publishers. One of 'em is Red Mullet & CowBoy, which is a superhero comedy based here in Western KY. For more on them see the pages under my pics that you're welcome to comment & crit.
My other idea that I'll be posting stuff on next is called BobCat. More on that when I get some actual work done on it...
Feel free to check out some art/illos under the pics & let me know what you think...or you can also check out my outdated website @ www.chuppeart.com.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone that's a fan of my tees, illos, & comic art.
Besides my comic characters Red Mullet & Cow-Boy
that I'm tryin' to get published...I've also released
my own tee line, Kenfunky Tees, which I designed &
printed. See my top friend & feel free to buy a few
and feed a starvin' artist...
