    I have MANY hobbies and interests, which include, but don't limit: pen pals(I've had pen friends off and on since high school, and I find sitting to write a nice, long, chatty letter to be rather therapeutic.), reading, flower gardening, storm chasing, photography, nail art, tattoos, blogging, putting together jigsaw puzzles (the more challenging the better, since I like to keep my brain stimulated), logic problems, brain teaser puzzles, crosswords, and other word puzzles, going to the casino, shopping, Native American culture, watching wrestling and NASCAR, needlework and crafts,(such as knitting, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoing, latch hook rugs, macrame' hemp jewelry, painting things, counted cross stitch, etc.), aquariums, and of course my two main hobbies: watching movies and raising Chihuahuas.

    My Space doesn't have enough bandwidth to cover every movie that I love. I am a major movie buff. My favorite actor is Johnny Depp but he isn't the only actor I like. Some others I admire include Morgan Freeman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Stiller, Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Thomas Gibson, Billy Bob Thornton, Tommy Lee Jones, Jon Heder, Will Ferrell, Nicolas Cage, Scott Bakula, Patrick Stewart, and many others. My favorite actresses include Kathy Bates, Sandra Bullock, Sissy Spacek, and Stockard Channing. I have been collecting movies for over twenty years, and have a film collection that exceeds 3000 titles! I admit, I probably spend waaaaaaay too much money on movies, but, that's one of the passions I have, and I would not have it any other way!

    Oh, and I love movies that are stupidly bad, or so bad they are good! I cannot resist these, they are fun to watch sometimes, so I'm not a totally serious film collector! However, I do have a lot of rare, out of print, workprints, foreign and unreleased movies in my film library, and my family and I enjoy sitting and watching good films into the wee hours of the morning. We turn out all the lights, pop popcorn and pretend like we're in a real movie theater! Fun stuff!

    I don't watch a lot of TV but some of the shows I like include but don't limit: South Park, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, (All five series, especially original Trek, Next Gen, Enterprise and Voyager)The X-Files, Alien Nation, Family Guy, House, The Big Bang Theory, Deal Or No Deal, Mork and Mindy, Magnum P.I., and many older shows.

  • Books

    I love Stephen King! I also like things like true crime, science fiction, fantasy, etc. Other authors I read a lot of include Dean Koontz, James Patterson, and Michael Crichton. I also enjoy stories that take place in the South. (EG, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe.) and photography books. I wrote a sci-fi novella as well, and despite the fact that I never published it with any major publishers, everyone who has read it has been wowed. I deliberately published it in my own way, because I am in control of how the story goes. I don't want some editor reading it and then getting rid of elements of the story, and therefore losing its integrity the way I meant it to be. It's in a private My Space profile but if you would like to read it, I will send you a friend request from that profile. I am working on a sequel to that story and some other writing things as well. So stay tuned.

    ..

    I don't really have any heroes like Superman or actors or actresses or anything like this I consider heroes. The true heroes are our military. They do what they do for us, so we can enjoy things like My Space. My father was a World War 2 vet who survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor, my ex husband was a Viet Nam vet. I have step children currently serving as well. Any law enforcement and anyone who loves animals and children and who always do what is right is alright by me. Those who try to help others who are less fortunate. The men and women who helped to put things back together following the Oklahoma City Bombing, 9-11, Katrina, and other bad disasters are heroic in my book. How about ones who overcome adversity, bad illness and persecution? OK, so I lied. Superman is pretty cool.

I have an extremely twisted and off the wall and slightly crude sense of humor. I wanted to get that out in the open, right up front, because sometimes I'll post videos and jokes in my blog or in the bulletins that might be a little bit crude. It is meant only in good fun, not to offend or make anyone mad, or even make fun of anyone, outside of ourselves. It is for laughs and fun. We do tend to about fall out of our own chairs when we are sharing jokes and other unusual or funny material that we find elsewhere on the internet and share with one another, so hopefully I will make friends who can take it as well as dish it out! :-) I have found that some people have different hot buttons when it comes to what they find funny. I happen to find things like "Jackass" and "South Park" funny. I found that I am a pretty content person when I let my crazy side hang out. On the other hand, I do have my serious moments and my blogs can run on the serious side and sometimes contain thought provoking material that can be considered to be controversial. However, please remember that I write about things from my own perspective, it doesn't make me right. I can be somewhat cynical. I'm not writing this to deter anyone from being my friend. In fact, I welcome you if you are the total opposite. I just want to let you know what to expect with me, and if you are the type to get easily offended, then perhaps you will want to skip reading my blogs and bulletins. I do like to chat about a variety of subjects and am pretty much open minded and am NOT easily offended.

On a similar note, one activity I will NOT participate in, is destructive and idle gossip about fellow My Spacers. If you want to ask me about a certain person to gauge whether or not someone might be a good friend match for you, that is alright. But please do NOT ask me questions about a person I know or am friends with if you have some sort of beef with that person. Been down that road before, and it's not happening anymore. If you want to share an exciting adventure you got into with someone, I have no problems with that. It's the nasty, destructive gossip I have a problem with and I flatly refuse to engage in that. Thanks for taking the time to read, and thanks for understanding.

I'm a mother to two boys, named Christian and Collen. I was born January 17, 1972 in Vinita, Oklahoma. (This is a Capricorn for those who are into that.) And believe it or not, both of my boys and I share the same birthdate! My older son Christian was born in 1993, my younger son Collen om 2000. I raise Chihuahuas and love animals. I also have several cats and three birds (two cockatiels and a duck), and am always rescuing tortoises from the highway for release in a more turtle friendly environment. I also love my freshwater aquariums. My favorite food is Indian Tacos. I'm a film buff. I'm a survivor of both spousal abuse and reproductive cancer. I was recently diagnosed with lupus, but that wasn't a surprise there, since I've had rheumatoid arthritis for years. I collect thimbles, bells, shot glasses, books, chicken and Chihuahua items, duck items, anything on Trace Adkins, Johnny Depp items, and movies. I'll cover my other interests in their appropriate places. I have a wickedly twisted sense of humor! (Many people think this translates as crazy. Sorry to disappoint you.) I am most comfortable in my own home, but I do like to get out and go shopping once in a while! I love getting tattooed. I have seven and want more...maybe soon!

Of course impersonators and tribute artists are more than welcome to be a friend of mine on this one too! :-) Other than that, for the most part, I am a stay at home mom, but I do have lots of odd jobs that I do and am always volunteering or doing things for friends, family, and my community. (I've donated blood umpteen times now!)

I consider myself to be a nice person, and try to get along with most folks. However I have a zero tolerance level for bullshit, and if you cross me, that's it. I love a wide range of movie and TV stars, singers, etc. but you don't have to be famous to impress me! I'm not really a star struck person. I would love to meet Johnny Depp of course! Three of my friends have gotten lucky enough to do that this year! But in my case if it's meant to be, it's meant to be and if it's not, well, I can live with that and am happy for anyone who gets to do this. I admire him sheerly for his intelligence and ability to take any role and make it exclusively his own. He's honest and humble. And he's more than a pretty face. I guess though, if I meet anyone, the only thing I ask is that you are honest with me. It doesn't matter who you are: don't pretend to be someone or something you are not, just be yourself with me and we'll get along fine! If I had my druthers, I'd like to meet anybody who's been on any of the "Star Trek" series. It's probably subtle, but, I LOVE "Star Trek"! LMAO.

Actually I've already met several famous folks. They include but don't limit Bill Goldberg (pro wrestler), Garth Brooks, Ricky Skaggs, Keith Whitley, Reba McEntire, Mickey Mantle, Tommy Morrison, (local boxer), and many others. I think the strangest celebrity encounter I've ever had was with diet guru Richard Simmons, and of all places, it happened at a Siloam Springs, Arkansas Wal-Mart. He was there to endorse a diet product...he followed my sister-in-law and I all through the store, and was extremely hyperactive. He was nice though and is about the way he is on TV! But he was fun. It's just odd. ha ha.
