About me:

My name is Jay.

Right now it is my second year studying Visual and Literary Arts, at Brown University.

I've been making art since I was child and recently transitioned into digital media and photography.

I enjoy the freedom and speed with which I can create dream-like images from inspiration to finished work in digital media.

I am a figurative artist exploring the imagination through new media, and my work is best described as contemporary symbolism.

After high school I attended The School of Representational Art in Chicago.

And while my focus is on the imagination, I attended a classical art school because I didn't want a lack of technical skill to interfere with my work.

Why are art galleries like retirement homes for teachers?

Because they're both full of old masters.

Thanks for the request... visit often! What has inspired you today? For me, the sight of bare, gnarled branches against a metal grey sky.
