Hi,
I am a complete music junkie!
I graduated in 2002 from MI in Los Angeles focusing on as much contemporary music as I could digest, moved to western NY to play jazz and now I live in Portland, OR (the Coolest City). I have had the good fortune to play and record with some amazing artists from all over the world. I am a minimalist at heart, with a great belief that the music always comes first, but I am also at home comping chords, soloing, and adding as much color as needed to the music (Thanks Damian, I kind of ripped that off).
Since I have been in Portland, I have been lucky enough to work with some great artists in the area including: The Dave Milne Group, Charles Neal, Braille, Farnell Newton (he's a bad dude, I like every thing this guy plays), Ben Darwish, Asher Fulero, Ohmega Watts, Sirens Echo, Kristina Rae, Anthony Jones and Congregation, Gretchen Mitchell, Liv Warfield, Damian Erskine, Chris Mosely, The Blacknotes, AG Donnaloia, and Zuppa. Currently I am developing the band for Marv Ellis, beginning preproduction for the new Braille album and writing for a live Dub/Electronica trio to be debuted in the fall.
I am available for lessons at Five Star Guitars. 503-439-9500 and gigs of all styles at 503-490-2040.
I play Audere Audio preamps exclusively. Catch David at Audereaudio.com. Great guy, great company.
Outside of music, I am a big animal rights supporter and a vegan. I spend as much free time as I can in the woods and climbing the beautiful Cascade Mountains. Lately I've gotten into running marathons which I thought was going to suck at first, but it turns out I really love it. Oh the weird things we discover about ourselves....
What's goin on Big Cuz??? Hey my b-day party is on Friday.. can you come?? If you start driving on like...Wednesday... and don't stop.. you could make it!
