Influences
I take influences from many people but I'd like to think that my style of writing, lyrically, is as earthy as people like India Arie, Nate James and other young urban writers, with a touch of funky influence from the old classics; Stevie and Aretha. The ballad style of singing probably comes from listening to Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys so much and a lot of people have compared my voice to theirs. Myspace Backgrounds

I am a solo artist who writes, performes and produces my own music. I have a studio set up in my bedroom. I have lived in London all my life and am currently living in Greenwich. I used to live in Lewisham so it's a bit of an upgrade!!! (no offence to anyone who lives in Lewisham - Biggup the 'Shahm). I've been writing songs for about 4 years but have only just learnt music production. I studied at Point Blank Music College in Shoreditch and from that have been able to produce all my own work from scratch. I learnt piano from the age of five and so all of my music has been written with a heavy piano influence. I think that's why people often compare my music to Alicia Keys. I work part time as a Child Minder and am hoping to get some paid work as a singer. I have sung in a few bands but have never really had the courage to get a band together myself, although having my own band is something I really want to do! I do backing singing and session work for various other artists so if you're looking for a female singer, feel free to drop me a message. Hope you enjoy the music.
