BIO:
Jay Johnson began his professional music career at Alabama ’s Muscle Shoals Sound Studio as a session guitarist for Malaco Records artist Mary Burns. Since that time Johnson has evolved into a broad spectrum musician, songwriter, producer and audio engineer.
Along with drummer John Blumer, Johnson co-founded the popular regional act RADIO TOKYO in 1986, leading to performing as a member of THE ROSSINGTON BAND from 1986-89. That band performed for over a million music fans in that time, most notably during the LYNYRD SKYNYRD TRIBUTE TOUR in those years, releasing two major label LPs and appearing on the Lynyrd Skynyrd video from the same tours. 1994 saw a merging of forces as Johnson teamed with BLACKFOOT drummer Jakson Spires and MOLLY HATCHET guitarist Dave Hlubek to form the SOUTHERN ROCK ALLSTARS, which toured extensively in the US, Mexico and Europe and still continues to perform today. The SRA band released three cds on the Tazer label and a live DVD showcasing its many influential band members. Johnson most recently served as lead vocalist and guitarist for classic rock powerhouse BLACKFOOT and appears on the latest DVD release from that band, ”Train Train: Southern Rock’s Best Live”.
Currently Jay Johnson is at work on a solo cd, writing new material, searching for new artists to produce sessions on and most recently adding acoustic shows to his list of live dates.

Sometime this year, we taxpayers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment. This is a very exciting new program. I will explain it using the Question and Answer format: Q. Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely: * If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the Money will go to China. * If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to The Arabs. * If you purchase a computer, it will go to India. * If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. * If you buy a car, it will go to Japan. * If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan. * If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it Will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore. Instead, keep the money in America by: 1 Spending it at yard sales, or 2 Going to ball games, or 3 Spending it on prostitutes, or 4 beef or cheese or 5 tattoos.. (These are the only American businesses still operating in the US.) Now, I'm going to go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute That I met at a yard sale and we're going to eat beef n cheese all day!
