About me:
My name is Jayme and I attend Old Dominion University where I am an Art Major with a concentration in Print and Photo Media.
I am interested in many different types of photography. Anything that catches my eye may be my next photo. I work with all digital photography, I use a Nikon D100, and I love it!
Right now, I am interested in shooting portraiture in an artistic unconventional way. I have been using my family and close friends as my models, and they are pretty open to my new ideas. I like to arrange people to fit an idea I have in my mind, and incorporate a political/current event overtone. For example, last semester when the debate on gay marriage was the hot topic, I used my sister and a girl friend to be my models and help me convey my feelings on the whole issue. I am also interested in band photography, conventional portraiture, and photography incorporated with graphic design.
I am very influenced by Julia Margaret Cameron, Anna Gaskell, Asian Art, religion/God, politics, fantasy, death, feminism, Art Neuevo, sexuality, war, music (heavy metal), fairy tales and all of my teachers.

The gallery walls will be transformed as a 15 artists come out from all over the world for a huge install collaboration. Thirty artists will be showcased. Each artist will showcase 20 pieces created on found objects that will be integrated into and inspire the overall installation, bringing the gallery back into the realm of street art. These found object works will retail for $20 - $40, keeping the art accessible and true to its roots.

Art Whino joins forces with Tagür Footwear to present Inked Souls, an exhibition featuring customized sneakers and fine art by 35 local, national and international leaders in the Pop Surrealism/Urban Contemporary art movement. Each featured artist will customize one pair of AKA Blank Tagür sneakers along with one painting on canvas.
