Lettering comics, creating logos & doing various other design work for the goal of creating a finished comic book for the studio/publisher who hires me.
My name is Jaymes Reed. Originally from Burleson, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth area), I currently reside in South Carolina (Heeeeeelp meeeeee) working full time as a freelance comic book letterer, logo and page layout designer for my comic book lettering studio, Digital-CAPS.

Some of my most notable projects to date include...
*I letter for Bluewater Productions on a regular basis. They have many great books coming out right now, including this brief list of titles I have been assigned so far:
--My favorite assignment right now is the ongoing series written by William Shatner, "TekWar Chronicles." Look for it in stores June 24th!
--I just finished "Vincent Price Presents #10: Road Rage," which was drawn by DC's Pat Broderick!
--I'm almost finished with "Warlock," a mini series based on the set of Lionsgate movies.
--I'm lettering "Leprechaun," an 8-issue mini also based on a series of movies from Lionsgate.
--I'll also be lettering "Political Powers: Barack Obama," "Female Force: Princess Diana" and many others they are releasing soon.
*For Arcana Studios, I just finished chapter #3 of Kris Carter's "Epoch" graphic novel, due for release sometime in 2009, though I suspect 2010 will be more like it. The art is terrific and every page offered me something new to explore. You won't be wasting money if you buy this! Additionally for Arcana, I lettered the "Yin Yang" graphic novel due out very soon!
*ELEMENTAL FOURCES is a 6-issue from New Baby Productions and creator Eric Mullarky. It's a story about a group of heroes whose powers each represent an element of the Earth. Artists John Becaro and Ernest Jocson have done terrific work!
*Ape Entertainment's sci-fi book RETURN TO POINT PLEASANT, which is by a friend of mine, CHAD LAMBERT, is now on sale. Scrounge around your local comic shop and see if they ordered it. If they're smart, they did. It's an incredible graphic novel dealing with past and future Mothman sightings and the time traveling men in black who attempt to learn the truth behind the phenomena!
*I've also worked for Dynamic Forces relettering RED SONJA #1-7 from the 1970's for THE ADVENTURES OF RED SONJA Vol. 1 and Luke Lieberman's STREET MAGIK, in which my name appears next to Stan Lee's in BOTH BOOKS... a major accomplishment in any universe as far as I'm concerned! That book was a few years ago, but I am still very proud of it!
