..What's On Your Mind?..

on my mind, there is a thing,
and on that thing, there is another thing,
and with these things,
comes a great burden of more things,
concluding in what i shall not give away,
and what you shall not ask about.
and if you happen to ask,
you are going to get one
out of a hundred ways of saying the same thing,
which basically will translate into,
i'm not sharing.
and if you thought this was a pointless rant,
ohwell. it was mine,
and mine is mine.
i hold closely to me my own thoughts,
because they are the ones that i can control,
even when i can't.
and they are the thoughts
that are always there,
even when they are not.
and the thoughts that always make sense,
even when they do not.
for what it's worth,
my mind is a great contradiction
of what it should, and should not be.
without my mind filling my head
with the thoughts
of a thousand plus days,
and the voices of past acquaintances,
and the dreams of a thousand days,
where would i be?
where would my mind be?
what would this lifee contain,
if i had no mind to put thoughts upon?
my thoughts are now coming to an end,
as i sift through them slowly.
tomorrow is a new day,
and with new days, come new thoughts.
with new thoughts come old memories,
and with old memories come new dreams,
and with new dreams come new hopes,
and with new hopes comes a new faith
to carry me on into a world
where there is no hope.
into a world where there is no faith.
into a world where all dreams
have come to an abrubt halt,
because there is no one
there to care anymore.
and what has come of this?
nothing. absolutely nothing.
so, for the love of all mankind,
start to dream your dreams,
hope your hopes,
and have faith the day will come
when your dreams will come true,
and all your hope will once again have a meaning.
a day when everything
you have held on to for so long,
will finally come into view,
and we could once again,
live in a happy land.
