In the wake of other "retro" performers such as Sharon Jones, Mayer Hawthorne and Alice Russell - JAYSON HOOVER JR AND THE ALL NIGHTERS play classic soul tracks from the 60's and 70's plus a set of Jayson Hoover classics including the hit "King Size" and "She's my lady" and "Sing with Soul".

In the summer of 2009 Ian Gregson approached Parker Henderson with the intent of bringing back some of the classic home grown sounds of Vancouver made soul - where else better to start with the classic sounds of Vancouver's very own Jayson Hoover[Parker's dad]? Parker is also related to Wes Henderson, one of the founder members of Motown recording artists Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers.

JAYSON HOOVER & THE ALL NIGHTERS are now playing venues around the Vancouver area - their live show should not be missed.

JAYSON HOOVER - was one of, if not the best soul singer to come out of the Pacific Northwest in the period 1966 to 1975. Jayson originally played with THE EPICS and co-wrote the hot "King Size". From 1968-1970 Jayson formed the "Trials of Jayson Hoover"

In 1975 Jayson signed with Mushroom Records, Vancouver BC. They released one album titled "Jayson Hoover" and off it released the singles: "Love Will Get You", and "(She's) My Lady", both of which had radio play in Canada.

The album was produced by "Mike Flicker" who shortly afterwards produced the first Mushroom recording session for Heart's "Dreamboat Annie" Album.

Jayson Hoover n Stuff disbanded in the Spring of '76.

Today Jayson Hoover 45's are fetching between $50-100 with collectors on EBay

Originally inspired by a chance meeting with Wigan Casino DJ Russ Winstanley and founded in September 2006 Mr M The All Nighters were inspired by the UK's Wigan Casino Northern Soul scene circa 73-81; the band played classic stompin' Northern Soul in the British tradition such as Tainted Love, Do It and Move On Up. The band recorded a live CD of classics that got airplay on the BBC's Craig Charles Funk and Soul show and BBC Stoke's Mary Fox's Soul Hour. In 2009 founder member Ian Gregson met up with the son of Vancouver's famous soul singer Jayson Hoover [Parker Henderson] and found some mutually agreeable musical space to create a collaboration.
