Most of what you're listening to here is my solo work but I've also added a few songs that I've collaborated with others on.
"The Day That I Met You" This is a song written for my lovely wife and performed by the 3 piece band I'm in called DiG. www.myspace.com/digoursound
Jeff DeLaura on Drums, Ross Pinski on 6-string Guitar, and myself on 8-string Guitar and Vocals
"Interlude" was a little piece that was originally recorded to try out some new equipment in my studio. It's just myself on a Gitane Maccaferri accoustic jazz guitar with fretless 4-string bass overdub. I liked it so here it is.
"I Pooped In Ya Shoe" was a collaboration I worked on with Sean Nolan. Obviously this one is not intended to be taken too seriously. Hopefully it makes you laugh. Aside from being a gifted guitar man and vocalist, Sean is about as funny as they come. We had a blast coming up with the idea for this song written from a dog's perspective. I played the role of recording engineer through this recording process. The musicians you'll hear on this track are: Sean Nolan on Guitar and Vocals, Jay McGuldrick on Bass, and Kai Anderson on Drums. Side joke, the tune is written to the old blues jam "Walkin' The Dog".
"You and I Will Become One" is a song that I recorded to the changes of "The Shadow of your smile." This was one of the first projects completed in my home studio. The combo was recorded seperately and then I put my vocals and sax work over that.
"Lover Mourns for The Loss Of Love" was a small group arrangement of a W.B. Yeats poem that I put to music. This group is comprised of Jason "Geebs" Gebbink on Piano, Dan Solovitz on Drums, Ben Smith on Bass, Samantha Smith on Vocals, and Myself on Saxophone.
"Last Cigarette" was a song I wrote with my good friend Carrey G. who is a very gifted poet and lyracist. We sat down one night to see what we would come up with. I had the guitar work ready and she had the lyrics. The result was this dark look into a young man's life through a troublesome time, a lover's argument, a shelf full of booze, and an almost empty pack of cigs.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my space. This space is dedicated to the solo work that I'm currently working on. Also you'll find links to groups I am currently playing with, aswell as gigging information.
My newest musical endeavor is DIG, a three piece jazz/funk/soul outfit comprised of Jeff Delaura on drums, Ross Pinski on 6 string guitar and vocals, and myself on 8string and vocals. Influences come from Soulive, M.M.W., John Scofield, Stevie Wonder, and many many others. We're currently gigging in the Madison area and recording a lot. We'll likely record our first studio album in 2009.

As you can tell, I'm a jazz fan from the beginning, but love to experiment in many genres. Most of what you hear on the recordings here are me, though for some tracks I've had the pleasure of including friends that have added their own flavors to the mix. I've also included some tracks from DiG's arsenal.
As with all art, this is a work in progress. This is what I sound like now, on my way to getting better. I'm a firm believer in life being more about the journey than the destination. I feel that the same thing goes for one's journey through life in music.
Hope you enjoy what you hear. I'd love to hear what you think.
