MySpace a place for friends

Shortly after a few successfull gigs around Germany they made time to do a few studio-sessions in late 2007 and record (in 3 days !) their debut album „WHAT...?“ ( © rent-a-dog 2007) which sold quite well on the following gigs and helped to build an enthusiastic national fan-base.

2008 started with a short tour that took the band from Hamburg to Munich, consolidating their reputation not only as a band of brilliant musicians and a swinging band but also as an entertaining show to watch and enjoy.... let’s call it .... the „Jazul-Fun-Factor“ !

The four members are:

Ingolf Burhardt: (trumpet & fluegelhorn / backing voc.)
His background covers decades of playing with some of the finest BigBands and performing / recording with renowned musicians like Bobby Shew, Van Morrison, Al Jarreau and Bobby McFerrin, to name a few. Great player .....and lately unveiling quite a talent as an entertainer !

David „Dezzy“ Paulicke (drums & electronica / backing voc. & mouth perc.)
He is the youngest guy of the four and brings along a fresh breeze of 90’s grooves á la ?uestlove, Roots, J Dillah and the likes. „Dezzy“ is a respected producer in the national hip-hop scene and loves to breathe live into electronic instruments and digital gizmos .... very unique stuff ! .....and you should hear him programming / arranging orchestral arrangements !!!

Achim Rafain (bass guitars / Roland V-Bass)
Achim is simply one of the top bass players in Germany and is a „first call“ kind of guy for any touring act or studio producer around.Countless albums, jingles, tours and TV-appearances go to his credit. Since he performed the „No Angels MTV unplugged“ show in 2003 he started to combine the electric bass with the „Roland V-Bass“-system in his very own unique way, pretty much sounding like „two in one“...... a bass plus „a guitar from outer space“ ...... you gotta hear it to believe it !

Roland Cabezas (guitars / lapsteel / vocals)
Currently playing in the touring band of world-jazz great Trilok Gurtu he brings in a blend of different styles like funk, jazz, pop, latin, world etc. Just like Achim an experienced allrounder with countless gigs and sessions to his credits. His lyrical voice adds a special touch to the Jazul performances .... ah, and did I mention ? .....he loves to mess around with all kinds of different instruments .....

In late 2008 they hit the studio again and recorded their second album „THAT...!“ (© C.A.R.E. music group 2009) out due late summer 2009. This is an album that got quite another „edge“ to it than its predecessor.
