Frank Zappa, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Phish, Talking Heads, Black Sabbath, Metallica... doesn't make sense, does it?
Sounds Like
"The Jazz Bastards can play jangly Americana like the Southern boys, and if you caught them at the right moment they'd transport you right to Arkansas... where they'd introduce you to the ghost of Frank Zappa and walk you to the dark side of the moon."
"Ragged around the edges, melodic in its center. It's part Zappa, part Grateful Dead, and part Pink Floyd, with each song bringing adventure, promise, and brazen instrumental explorations."
The goal is to explore and enjoy. The different writing styles of Jazz Bastards members gives their catalogue a sometimes eclectic feel -- often creating outlets for freestyle, "cliffwalk" improvisational jams, both instrumental and vocal. If you're having half as much fun as the band members on stage, then it's a night well spent. With some of their own favorite songs littered throughout each set, Jeff, Josh, Rob and John hope to make each show an adventure...and if you listen with the right kind of ears, anything is possible.

GRAVESIDESERVICE is proud to announce the official release of our first full length album. The material on this release was written between the years of 2003 - 2006. It contains 7 solid piano interludes and 7 solid songs with and extra special bonus 15th track which was written on spot and recorded live in Pocasset cemetery over the course of two full weekends. It is a 23 minute FUNERAL MASS. It is the closest anyone has ever made it to an actual real cemetery funeral last rites recording with no guitars, just piano one ceremonial drum, last rites sermon and of course the birds wind and rain that fell on those days. It is the first of its kind and if its not then prove to us who did it first and we will not make that claim anymore...
For ten dollars you will receive the album which was officially pressed (no cd-r ) disc, but real quality official cds with full color booklet and a limited to 300 11 x 17 wide-angle poster which contains a black and white photo of the actually spot and burial ground on which Liturgy the bonus track was recorded.
