Jazzhead is all about maximizing and minimizing. Jazzhead want a maximum sound for maximum effect. Jazzhead want to reach the maximum number of people with their interpretations of the widest possible range of music from the 20th and 21st centuriees. Jazzhead also perform primarily as a duo because they understand that their musical conversations are best heard in a smaller context. They understand that louder isn't better and that getting the most out of themselves and the music through their playing, their arrangements, and in some cases through technology, is the best way to communicate with an audience. Maximieren und minimieren ist das Ziel von Jazzhead. Jazzhead erreichen durch Maximum an Klang den maximalen Effekt. Mit ihren Interpretationen der Musik des 20ten und 21ten Jahrhunderts versuchen sie durch die Musikalische Vielfalt ein gro�es Publikum zu erreichen. Jazzhead agieren lieber als Duo um einen Intimen Rahmen f�r ihr Zusammenspiel zu schaffen. Jazzhead wissen das lauter nicht besser ist um ein Publikum zu erreichen. Durch ihr Spiel und Gestaltung der Musik, auch technisch erweitert, holen sie das maximale aus sich heraus. -

ARTWORK CONTEST für Queen Tribute CD
Das richtet sich an all die kreativen und produktiven Köpfe unter Euch: Wie Ihr vielleicht wisst, werden gerade die letzten Handgriffe an unserem Album getan und so mussten wir uns Gedanken über das Artwork der Platte machen. Also kam die Idee, einen Wettbewerb auszurufen auf. Auf diese Weise könnt Ihr alle ein Teil unseres Tribute-Album sein. Der Ablauf ist einfach: Wir werden alle eingesendeten Vorschläge in die Bilder-Sektion unserer Facebook- und MySpace-Seite laden und Ihr könnt dann hingehen und Euren Favoriten kommentieren. Das Artwork mit den meisten Kommentaren gewinnt.
Die Fakten:
Wir möchten Euch und Eure Ideen so uneingeschränkt wie möglich haben, so dass es nur ein paar Kleinigkeiten zu beachten gibt. Bitte verwendet keine Original Queen-Fotos oder das Originallogo. Der Albumtitel lautet "Queen Tribute" oder "A Tribute to Queen", ihr könnt aber zusätzlichen einen passenden Titel zu eurem Artwork unterbringen. (Vorschläge: "Crazy Little Thing Called Rock", Anotherone Rides The Bus", "Gunpowder Gelatine")
Macht Euch bitte mit den Druckspezifikationen (300dpi) vertraut, so dass es am Ende keine Probleme gibt. Wir behalten uns natürlich das Recht vor, Spaß-Einsendungen und Beleidigungen nicht hochzuladen.
Was bringt Euch das als Designer?
In erster Linie geht es natürlich nur um Ruhm und Ehre, aber für alle, die ein wenig Überzeugung brauchen, ist hier unser Plan:
- Dein Artwork wird die fertige Platte zieren und Du bekommst natürlich eines der ersten Exemplare, sobald es fertig ist.
- Massive Werbung für dich und deine Arbeit. Wir werden selbstverständlich deinen Namen und deine Website auf alles drucken, was mit der Platte zu tun hat.
- Wenn es möglich ist, drucken wir natürlich auch ein hübsches Merchandise (T-Shirt/Plakate) mit deinem Design, wovon Du dann auch das erste haben sollst.
Erzählt also bitte jedem, den es interessieren könnte von diesem Contest.

Der Einsendeschluß ist der 31.10. und danach wird das Voting / Kommentieren für zehn Tage starten.

ARTWORK CONTEST for Queen Tribute CD

This goes out to all you creative and productive people. As you might know, our album is currently in the final mixing process so we started to talk about what to do artwork wise. We came up with the idea of having a contest. That way all of you are able to be part of our full length CD. The procedure is simple: We’ll upload all artworks into our facebook and myspace picture section and you can go there and comment on it. The artwork with the most comments wins.
Facts:
We want you and your ideas to be as free as possible so there are only a few things you should be aware of. Please don't use the official Queen-Logo or Queen-Fotos. The record is entitled “Queen Tribute” or "A Tribute to Queen". A subtitle fitting to your artwork is optional. (Suggestions: "Crazy Little Thing Called Rock", Anotherone Rides The Bus", "Gunpowder Gelatine")
In order to have a coherent look, we would ask a front cover and an inlay card of you. Please make sure to meet the specs so that there won’t be any problems with it. Of course we reserve the right to not upload jokey or offensive artworks.
What’s in there for you as a designer?
First of all it’s all about the fame, but for those of you who need a little persuasion, here is what’s planned.
- Your artwork will be used for the final record, that you’ll get one of for free, when it’s done and in sale
- Massive promotion for you and your work. We’d love to give your name and your website on all record-related locations.
- If possible, we are going to print some fancy shirts with your artwork. Of course you’ll get one of these for free
So please tell everyone you know who might be interested in taking part about the contest.
