About me: Born in Greenville, Miss.
Spent nine and a half years in the Navy.
Currently residing in Hollandale but still spend most of my time in Greenville.
I love to read, write, sing, act and direct. In Greenville, I am a board member with Delta Center Stage community theater. And I sing with two community choral groups: Rivertown Singers, which does a summer fund-raiser for the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center, and the Greenville Community Harmony Chorus, which does a Christmas show ever year.
Oh, and at any given time, I've got up to a half-dozen fiction manuscripts in progress or awaiting revision.
I also enjoy bowling.
I'm a staff writer for AllAboutJazz.com. Most music reviews I write will be posted there, but I may occasionally use my blog space here.
This is the band's lineup the first time I saw them in concert, which was in August 1987.
Julio, Tom and Jay with Roberto Vally, Richie Morales, Manolo Badrena and Dave Samuels.
Who I'd like to meet: Morgan Freeman,Calleen Sinnette Jennings, Cheryl Bentyne, Walter E. Williams, Keith Carlock, Jeff Lynne, Maurice White, Brett Favre, Eliane Elias, Sanaa Lathan
