Jazzmoss is a collaborative project between singer poet Louisa Le Marchand and Ugandan pianist Kaz Kasozi. The studio album features 10 songs by Louisa and music concieved by Kaz. There is wonderful support from great musicians including the legendary jazz drummer Trevor Tomkins, sax player Art Theman, trumpeter Henry Lowther, clarinetist and sax player Mix Amylo , guitarist Jim Mullen , bass players Liran Donin and Steve Watts and drummers Ed Williams and Mike Collins.
The project has been a labour of love that was originaly written in 2001 and then shelved as both Louisa and Kaz pursued other projects. In the latter part of 2006 they resumed the project and completed the live recording sessions in early 2007. The album was released in the third week of October '07 with a live set of 6 tracks from the album which was well received by a very enthusiastic audience. Tour dates for Jazzmoss will be announced in 2008.
