Jazz at the Olde Hickory Taproom began in the summer of 2001 and has evolved into a major part of Hickory's downtown nightlife. Ranked in the top 10 of "most exciting things to do" in Hickory, "Jazz on Tap" features guest jazz musicians every Sunday night from 8-11pm. Host Rick Cline plays drums each week while organizing and teaming up the musicians. Musicians come from a 2 hour radius to perform at what has been called the "most hoppin' spot for jazz" in the Piedmont.
The Olde Hickory Taproom provides a wonderful atmosphere for the family and jazz affecianados, while serving great food and an array of beer on tap.
