SO WHAT IS JAZZROC'S BAND?
This band is my one-man band. You remember seeing the one-man bands of the past, a guy playing a trumpet and an accordion with strings from his knees to a bass drum? No? Well I'm not like that, except in spirit! Instead I have a Roland W30 Workstation (a la Prodigy!) and TWO computers. All my output is DIGITAL. I compose, my band plays. When I'm tired, it packs up immediately. There're only ten steps from my practice hall to my bed! The band never complains, doesn't need refreshment, and doesn't go on strike for more pay!
Last year my band worked with Paul Jones to produce a CD called "My Joanna",
and also worked with Alan Mansfield ("My Mind's Made Up") and Steve Andrews - the Bard of Ely - as the backing band to Totem3 (CD "Totemized") in the south of Tenerife.
I am presently working with Robert Edgar, of San Francisco and am pleased to demonstrate one of the results of this co-operation.
