Margit Vagaday bereichert mit ihrer einfühlsamen und zugleich lebendigen Mezzosopran-Stimme die Interpretationen der Gruppe.
Die bläserischen Akzente in der Band setzt Richard Guserle. Sein warmer, kraftvoller Ton und seine große melodische Erfindungsgabe zeichnen diesen Saxophonisten aus, dessen sehr persönlicher Stil Einflüsse von Charlie Parker und Charlie Mariano verbindet.
Markus Nagl ist der musikalische Kopf der Gruppe. Sein Klavierspiel ist geprägt von einer nuancierten Melodik, einer ausgefeilten Harmonik, eingebettet in den typischen Funk-Jazz. Andreas Wieland fasziniert in seinem unpathetisch trockenen Schlagzeugspiel durch die Fähigkeit zu pointierter Reduktion und gleichzeitig mit virtuosen druckvollen Soli, die laut Mick Pini an einen neuen Simon Phillips erinnern.
Michael Distler, der Gitarrist studierte sechs Jahre an der Musikhochschule Würzburg (bei Prof. Jürgen Ruck). Sein Stil, geprägt vom Blues, Jazz-Rock und Klassik bringt interessante Elemente in das Klanggebilde der Band.
Nach unten hin wird der Sound der Band durch melodisch-rhythmische Basslinien von
Martin Wieland fundamentiert, der gerne bekannte Bassriffs von Rockklassikern einfließen lässt. Auf ihn wird gerne zurückgegriffen, wenn es mal heißt, auf einem Festival zu spielen. So spielte er mit dem ehemaligen Frank Zappa Drummer Jimmy Carl Black in Schöppingen (Westfalen) auf dem internationalen Blues Festival.
Mit dem anspruchsvollen zeitgenössischen Klanggebilde wurde in den vergangenen zwei Jahren eine neue CD produziert, welche bereits von einem Amerikanischen Sender im Radio gespielt wird. Die von Markus Nagl komponierten zehn Stücke, die auch von ihm produziert wurden, erzielten auch in der Fachwelt Aufmerksamkeit

Jazz up counts on the intuitive and collective harmony of the musicians and the ability to communicate silently with each other by sound. Each of the individual musicians demonstrates his or her own stile that modern fast paced rhythm will integrate with classical jazz. Developments will be recognized by the well known titles of the Jazz up version.
For four years now Margit Vagaday enriches the interpretation of the group with her lively but sensuous Mezzosoprano voice.
On the saxophone, Richard Guserle with his warm and deep sounds shows great imagination influenced by sounds of Charlie Parker and Charlie Mariano.
Markus Nagl is the musical head of the group. His expertise on the piano is marked by a special blend of melodies with harmony and ingrained with the typical funk-jazz.
Andreas Wieland will fascinate you with his superb nimbleness on drums and cymbals with the occasional solo which, according to Mick Pini, are reminiscent of Simon Phillips.
Michael Distler, guitar, studies for six years at the Musik Accademie of wuerzburg under Professor Juergen Ruck. His stile, influenced by blues, jazz-rock and classical music brings out the most interesting elements of the sound picture of the band.
Further down the line the sound of the band is enhanced by the rhythmical melodies of the bass from Martin Wieland, who gladly introduces bass sounds of the classical rockers.
It is he who will be remembered when there is a call to play at a festival. He played with the former Frank Zappa Drummer Jimmy Carl Black in Schoeppingen, Westfalia at the international Blues Festival. They produced a new CD a couple of years agon which has already been played by an American Radio Station. The 10 pieces, composed by Markus Nagl and also produced by him, also received recognition in the music world.
Pete York, the drummer of the Spencer Davis Group, listened to a pre-production cut of the new CD from Jazz up (get up-jazz up) and was so impressed, that he consented to a joint concert at the CD Release Party of Jazz up resulting in a friendship through this contact.
Not only Pete York but also Herman Rarebell, the drummer of the Kult-Rockband “SCORPIONS” is convinced of Andreas Wieland’s talents and has invited him to his studio.
