    Out of the creative minds of singer Karina Kampe and flugelhorn/ cornet player Anders Ellman the group “Steve” was born in fall of 2008. Inspiration and motivation for the band comes from the golden age of jazz. The bebop/hard bop style of the 50’s and 60’s. Vocalese solos are an important element in the music as is the creative freedom of all the group players. Be bop standards are mixed with new arrangements as well as original new tunes from the band’s members. Some influential role models are Quincy Jones, Miles Davies, Lambert, Hendrix & Ross, Ella Fitzgerald, Freddie Hubbard and Art Farmer. Steve originates from Stockholm, Sweden..... Debut Album Farmers Market is to be released on March 10th 2011. It was recorded in front of a live audience at Haninge jazzclub in Sweden.
