Hey Johny B... Sweet tunes! great sound. So you gonna work on little Enji enjamins Benjamins? LOL Good to hear your latest stuff!
Hey John
Just wanted to say congrats on your marriage. Best of luck as you go down a whole new path. My mom sends my love.
Hi there John Benjamins first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.

Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
LOVE Being Blind! It's my new profile song! Hope you're well!
hey man no worries
we're sorry we missed most of your set
one of our guys had a dinner thing he had to be at and made us late
hopefully we'll play together again sometime!

Hey Johnny
Ya, I noticed you had a couple new tunes up. So I was having a listen to them. I listened to Homeless Man a bunch of times and I was hearing a bunch of stuff. There's a lot of potential, it's obviously just a first cut; some cool stuff though.
A couple ideas maybe to play around with to get things flowing:
I'm hearing a big shout chorus sort of deal- essentially a wash of sound
Kind of like the raw sound that a Band like Coldplay gets, or even some of the older Jars of Clay stuff; very exposed, very raw for lack of another word. Kinda just fading out, or sitting on that stagnant pulse and exploding into sound with lots of reverb on everything (particularly the drums like you've done) and with a bunch of vocal textures reverbed to the max. After a chorus or so of that jump straight into vocal melody and guitar with absolutely no reverb, just the pure tracks with no effects, no panning, just sorta bring it into the middle and have the sound focused.
I know you don't often get huge in terms of noise and build up, but I think it would suit the tune as it's already a bit different from some of your other stuff, although there's still the Johnny B textures and sounds.
Anyway, just what was going through my head as I listened. I sure wish you had more time in your day to finalize some of this stuff, and get past the sort of "demo cuts"...I think we'll all have our own studios in heaven! Ya jam session with King David! I can hear some harp and lyre in some of your tunes. Haha, sorry this is gonna take up so much space on your page!!
John Rocks!
i still play Bass, drums and congas. I play for my church few times a month. I got married oct. 05. We had a baby jul. 06. so I've been busy ;) just have a blast. do u have a cd?
