Travel |
I love French places, especially Montreal and southern France (like Cannes). Back in 1995, I lived in Avignon for a month and Dijon for a month. Care to go back to France with me?
| | Music | "Hits of the eighties, nineties, and today," as some radio stations say. Sarah Brightman. MC Solaar. Beginner-level classical sheet music that I struggle to play on my piano.
My all-time favorite CD: Lead Me On by Amy Grant.

| | Movies | My all-time favorite movie: Groundhog Day

Other favorite movies: The Incredibles, About a Boy, Kung Fu Hustle, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Trois Couleurs Rouge, Great Muppet Caper, Fifth Element, Tron, Dumb and Dumber, Back to the Future, Strictly Ballroom
My favorite movie soundtrack: Fifth Element
If my life were being pitched as a movie script, it would be described as About a Boy meets Uncle Buck.

- Lexington Dining Club book
- Entertainment Book (Lexington version)
- gift certificates to Lex Healing Arts Academy
- gift cards for IHOP

Brett's Blurbs |
About me:
If you really want to know way too much about me and my unremarkable life, check the blog I've been updating for 10 years. If you're too lazy to Google me to find that blog, well, here's a quick summary.
I'm an indoor guy, spending most of my time in movies, libraries, bookstores, malls, ballroom dances, and bowling alleys. I usually only go outside to see the ocean or play tennis; I never choose stuff like camping or hiking. However, I will gladly be "outdoorsy" with you if you effectively motivate and persuade me. Breaking my routines, experiencing new things, yes, fantastic.

More about me: I'm a mainstream guy who watches popular movies / TV shows and listens to popular music. But I offer a small disclaimer — some of the popular music I enjoy is from the European pop charts, not the American pop charts.
Wherever I go, I usually bring my camera and make an attempt at getting some good photographs. Here on Myspace, I've found more than five people using pictures I took as their default photographs; some are shown below in my friends box. Is that some sign of success? At some point, I suppose I ought to take a photography class.
I have 20/20 vision and 30/30 pants, and I've given over 40 pints of blood (before age 40).
My previous addresses (before Lexington) include Miami FL, Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, Atlanta GA, Orlando FL, San Jose CA, Richmond VA, and Dijon/France.
The one thing I hate the most in this world is a red stoplight arrow at a left turn. I never ever want to sit behind a red left-turn arrow, unnecessarily wasting three to five minutes of my life waiting for the green arrow, while other people get to happily cruise along in the lane next to me.

Who I'd like to meet:
My future wife:
You are an easygoing woman who smiles all the time and rarely gets depressed. You are playful and affectionate. You were born after 1970. You enjoy mainstream food and mainstream entertainment.
It'd be nice if you are insouciant so that my insouciance won't make you angry. Also, when your guy mutes every single TV commercial that ever comes on (except for Super Bowl commercials), that doesn't make you angry either.
Superficial and less-important characteristics:
You are a French-speaking brunette, and you weigh less than I do.
|
|
Who I'd not like to meet:
High-maintenance women. Motormouths. Nymphomaniacs. Alcoholics. Evangelists. In a nutshell, anyone who cultivates stress and misery.
|
|
Famous people I have met:
Matthew Broderick, when I was an extra in Glory
Brian Regan, when Heather took me to one of his concerts in Ohio
Tom Hulce, when I was an extra in Black Rainbow
Jimmy Buffett, when I was a bartender at a country club in Atlanta
Bellamy Young, recently seen in M:I 3, when I was her classmate at Asheville High
Alan Thicke, when I worked at a Disney hotel
Teresa Isaac, former mayor of Lexington, when I worked in city government during the great "Ice Storm of 2003"
Steffany Huckaby, star of Death Tunnel, when Valerie brought her to a ballroom dance

Photographer For Hire!
|
|
Ignore this section. I built it so I can experiment with photo albums like the one I found on my sister's friend's profile. Propz to "www.myspace.com/sierrakelly"

I will photograph your event for the low, low rate of $125.00 per hour plus airfare, lodging, and meals. I am particularly interested in photographing events in Australia.
