I am an illustration student at Boise State University. I enjoy drawing and creating gig posters. I've always got a sketchbook on me wherever I go.
I am no longer taking commissions for gig posters or any other band related artwork. I am taking a break from the work so I can focus on my personal work.

permanent status: Julia Green Tambourine is kidnapped by an overaffectionate yeti who conflates artist and art
I have a passion for peeling dried paint and making a mess of things when I work on art. My turn-ons include listening to folk music, furry monsters, boys that like and listen to Bob Dylan, guys with beards (not to say that is the only reason I might be your friend.... but it's possible), gig posters, old photos, old woodcuts, house shows, weird non pig piggy banks, black coffee, napping, plastic toy animals, something soft and cuddly, spring, cold weather, peppermint, sketchbooks, dreams, clouds, green grass, buttons, tapping on soda cans, falling asleep on the phone with someone special, and girls with pretty voices.

Julia, you and your art rule the school. We're still very interested in having you create the art for our forthcoming album. We have an indie label in the mix now and we're just trying to get funding for everything, so the timing of our release is in flux. But I'll let you know.
Also, we just added a new song to our myspace player. Please come by and give it a listen and let us know what you think. :)
I'm doing well. So happy to FINALLY have some sunshine around! I work at the Salt Lake City Weekly and we've had special issues galore the past few months, so I've mostly been busy with that. I do posters for the W Lounge, but haven't done any prints lately.
I do have some ideas floatin' around in my head tho. Hopefully I'll get to them soon.
How's Boise & school? Your portfolio gallery was great.
Im actually getting started on another zine that should be coming out quarterly with the help of some friends(the haunted fortress). If you would like to submit something that would be more than sweet...it does not even have to be good, it could be a notebook or napkin scribble and it would be awesome, or a story, even a photo you don't know what to do with..anything! As far a a future colab..that would be ultra fun, we should.
