J.B.'s Blurbs |
About me:
I maintain the blog J.B. Spins, (www.jbspins.blogspot.com), where I try to bring a different perspective to jazz and film writing. Check there for new stuff daily, including frequent CD, film, and theater reviews.
I have taught jazz survey courses at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. After Hurricane Katrina, I served as the volunteer coordinator of the Jazz Foundation of America's instrument donation drive for displaced New Orleans musicians. Since I often visit good friends in Prague, I also frequently blog on cultural developments in former Warsaw Pact countries, as well.
