I know that I can't do it forever, but i like working in the nightlife industry. It's great to work where everyone wants to come out & have a good time...and it's amazing what you see & who you meet. when i'm not at work, i play video games, i go to the movies, i watch tv. i like to travel when i can. i'm into photography also...but it's more of a casual thing. i keep a flickr page where i upload my random pictures & stuff.
Music
i'm definitely a true music lover. i'll listen to anything from rap, hip hop, r&b...so called "urban" music, to rock & alternative, techno & trance, classical & jazz...maybe even a lil' country? MAYBE...lol. my music varies depending on my mood. i'm learning how to DJ in my spare time up at the club...so i'm listening to a lot to try to influence what i play & how good i am at being a DJ.
Movies
my favorites include transporter, snatch, lock stock & two smoking barrels, robin hood: men in tights, transformers, rush hour 1 & 2 (haven't seen 3), spiderman 1 & 2 (3 was awful), house of flying daggers, the kingdom, and you know what it wasn't the best but i actually like miami vice too. i'm sure there are a lot that i'm leaving out.
Television
G4 & Spike TV, anything in HD. Law & Order is something I can watch over & over. Cops, Cheaters, Ninja Warrior, I watch a lot of sports on TV also...especially in HD, lol. :-)
Books
Not much of a reader, but I read into the news a lot. I try to read the paper or read a lot of news & info on the internet when I can.

About me: what’s up world. the name’s joel. i’m 25, & from clinton, maryland. i work at a bar in DC. I work the door, I do marketing & events, I DJ, I do whatever I can get my hands .. this job i worked retail for about ten years...so it's definitely a welcome change. i'm also going back to school to finish up & (hopefully) get my computer information systems degree. i’m very much into music…i'm the guy who says that he listens to everything & actually DOES IT. From classical to heavy metal to rock to techno to pop to rap & hip hop & everything in between. i’ve been out of a relationship for a little while now…i've always been the relationship type so it definitely hasn't been easy...but i keep myself busy with work, family, & friends. i'm definitely out there looking for the next one that’ll change my life. i normally fall fast so i'm tryin' to take it slow. ;-) i used to write a lot, and i’m trying to get back into it. i also am into running & i’m working really hard to get into better shape…u know the usual grind. i’m generally pretty laid back….i’m normally the type that doesn’t get pissed off, more like dissapointed or upset…frustrated. of course…don’t try to come between me & the few friends that i keep very close to me, or me & my family. we’re all good except for that. oh yeah, & don’t take me lightly…ur boy doesn’t make threats, he makes promises :-). but enough of that.
i have an older sister, & a nephew who is definitely a handful...but he's great to be around. i have a great family, and i have great friends...& for that i'm thankful. it's funny how when you write stuff like that you actually sit back & think about it...& you realize how lucky you really are. i deal with homeless people on the street nightly at my job that don't have anything...i'm always glad that i can come home at the end of the night & rest...and hopefully i'll never lose sight of that.

i’m generally really friendly & personable…u have to be if u wanna do what i do….& i’d like to think that i’m very easy to talk to. i can be a great listener, but there are always a million things on my mind & on my chest that i want to get off. i hit the club about once a week...right now that's my release from the stress & pressure of work. i like to go out from time to time...forget about real life for a little bit & acting like i don’t have another care in the world. gettin’ all dressed up & runnin’ up a bar tab & enjoyin’ myself out on the dance floor. i also like to escape the normal grind by driving….fast…with the windows down & the music blasting when weather permits. u can also catch me at the mall checkin’ out the latest gear or taking in a movie with friends when there’s something good out. i’m pretty much you’re normal, average guy….but with a twist. somethin’ a little extra & unique that only a few brothas out there in the world posess. i haven’t coined a term for it yet…but it’s just a personality…a style…a demeanor…a swagger…..the way that i am that’s different from the average. wanna know more about it then of course….feel free to get at me.

Who I'd like to meet: I think I'd really want to go & meet people from where I'm originally from in Africa. You know...take the time & trace the roots or use my DNA or however they do it to figure out where I'm originally from. Go there, & spend time with the people there...maybe even do something to make a difference or just to see how things are compared to how i have it here. i think that'd be pretty amazing.

FYI..the new dual shock 3 controllers are awesome! But, I don't know about Metal Gear...I'm waiting for Socom in Sept....so I take it your not at the gaming store anymore :(
