During routine patrol in Baghdad, Iraq on June 5, 2005; Army pfc. Stephen Tschiderer, a medic, was shot in the chest by an Insurgent Sniper hidden in a van about 75 yards away & filmed by the Insurgents. Thanks to the body armour he was wearing that was sent to him by his family just days before the shooting, he survived with only minor injuries.
