  • Bio

J.C. Williams (or Josh) was born in Bitburg, Germany on October 21st, 1985. The son of a divorced mother and father, he found release in music at an early age. He began seriously playing music at the age of thirteen. Jamming with his friend Nate Smith (drummer) was how he spent his Thursday afternoons in those days. Later, he formed "Ebrious Bliss" with Nate and a few other guys. Josh played bass guitar. They were featured in The Columbus Dispatch (the local newspaper). And played countless live shows. Ebrious Bliss was very popular in Gahanna, OH. And, established themselves as one of the highest talents of their scene. But with massive exposure comes turmoil. "I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders", says J.C. "Between school, the band, work, and my girlfriend there was time for little else". The band was eventually offered a deal with Emerald Entertainment in Nashville. But they turned it down and eventually broke up. Josh took up for another group called "Devil-Up-Mental" by the age of eighteen. After they split up, it was on to the Recording Workshop (REC) in Chillicothe, OH. There Josh graduated a Certified Audio Engineer. And he currently holds three certificates in Audio Engineering and Music Production. The Recording Workshop was the perfect place to flower. That's where Josh really came into his own, and started perfecting his sound. Many graduates of the Workshop have gone on to do some major projects. 311, Dave Mathews, Jewel, Foo Fighters, and Sheryl Crow just to name a few. Since then, Josh has worked relentlessly on his own solo works. On top of moving from place to place, he has changed jobs three times in the past 4 years. It's been a long, difficult journey for the man. But he is determined to pursue the American dream. While keeping an open mind toward life's many possibilities, Josh feels very committed to the future.
