J Da' L.I.G.H.T.

Bio:

Born Jarard Kenneth Andrew Arnold November 25, 1984 in Saginaw, MI; Jarard has always had a love for music. As a child he was raised up in the things of God. Like most he eventually walked away from his upbringing to do what he wanted only to realize that it brought distruction. In some cases it might appear as if he waited until things turned for the worse, praise Christ for His grace. In December 31, 2005 he decided to give his life to Christ. He's been saved since that time, and although it's been a struggle it's only through Christ that Jarard is still here.
Before getting saved he went by the name Jaeka-soul once becoming saved he removed that name and used the name Christ gave him. J Da' L.I.G.H.T. (Jarard the LIGHT; Life In God Holds Treasure) The previous name gave glory to himself; but this God given name gives glory to Jesus Christ and only Christ.
One of topics J Da' L.I.G.H.T., or Jayda as some might call him, is about relationships. Of course with him being married before, he understands the hardships of marriage. His goal is to aid those saved or not to have a healthy relationship dealing with men and women relationships. He understands that we as Christians live real lives as well; and in all honesty the world can't help them when they have music themes promoting pre-marital sex, and adultery. He also has songs giving praise, worship, and adoration to Jesus Christ, but he understand that marriage is a Christ ordained thing why not talk about it? Why not talk about dating to get married, instead of dating to simply try what's under the hood?
Jayda's style of music is simply a mix of experiences. Growing up he enjoyed listening to Gospel, Contemporary Gospel, Hip hop, and R & B. When he got older he became expose to different music. It wasn't until attending a previous church that he became influenced by the latin style of music. Mostly salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton; it was then that he also became strongly interested in learning spanish. He's still learning now.

Oh my God I love salsa, bachata, and merengue music. You just got to be careful about what songs you listen to.... cuz most secular music like them have a lot of word play.

But I like Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, Rey y Frankie Ruiz, Anthony Santos, Marc Anthony, Brenda K. Starr and them doggone sappy sad love songs psshhhh ha ha ha, Alex (he's mix of rock and soul too), Eddie Santiago, Eddy Herrera, HECTOR LAVOE!!!!, JOE ARROYO!!!!, Mickey Taveras, Los Adolescentes, Xtreme and Aventura (but I'm really careful about the songs they have cuz....uhmmm..... yeah... ya tú sabes), Domenic Marte, Bobby Valentin, Ismael Rivera, so far that's it.

Christian spanish singers... I'll be honest I don't know too many, I like Marcos Witt, and Marcela Gandara, man the kat that sings Levanto Mis Manos whats his name Samuel something.... Samuel Hernández yeah that's the guy! He's cool too.
