James Dallas began singing at the age of 14 in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.
At 19 he moved to Youngstown,Ohio where he formed the Hollywood Records recording group"Youngstown". Youngstown's debut release "Ill Be Your Everything" was the title track on Disney's "Inspector Gadget" soundtrack and achieved certified gold sales.
At this time,Dallas began coming into his own as a songwriter and producer, writing 6 songs and producing 3 on the Youngstown debut album.
Another one of his songs "Through Your Eyes", was licensed by Koadak for their national digital camera marketing campaign.
Dallas has written with heavy hitters such as Ne-Yo, Guy Roche, Matthew Gerrard to name a few and has songs placed on CW's "Popular", "The Bratz", "Bring It On2", and received a gold record for a song on the Princess Diaries soundtrack.
Dallas produced and wrote the theme song for Hollywood Records girl group Nobody's Angel TV pilot for ABC family.
Currently Dallas has written and produced for boy bands Madhouse and Take 5.
