"JD" Jeff Stephens Vocals and Guitar,
JD grew up in a Musical Family. He started singing at a very young age and was singing in church with his family about 5 years old. The family sung in churches until he was about 10 years old. He was in choir in elementary and junior high school and all of his teachers were Operatically trained which really helped him sing loud and clearwith proper pitch. He started playing drums at 10 years of age and started playing in rock bands at age 12. He started messing with Guitar at age 13. He played in Bands like LSD, Ishtar, and Messiah until he was 19 years old. At 20 years of age he moved to Houston Texas. He managed a Music store in north Houston. He played guitar and would jam with anyone he could. He has played Styles of Music. He played with a Band named Kiwi in Houston (formerly Damnation out of Ohio). He was their soundman and played with them also. He opened for Bill Tillman of Blood Sweat and Tears, Tangerine Dream, and many other groups. He also had a band named “Postmaster” because they delivered.
In 1983 he was in a chloride explosion accident and his throat bleed for 6 months which ended his singing and he soon stopped Playing Guitar and gave up on the idea of Fame. He just started doing Sound, Lighting, Video and special effects system everywhere he could. Malls, Sports Bars, Concert Venues, Outdoor events. He was always on the cutting edge of the newest technology with his systems. JD said “You can build the best system today and soon it will be out of date”. He has done live sound, lighting and special effects for over 30 years and have worked with James Brown, Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Barry Manilow, The Moody Blues, Judas Priest, Billy Idol, Nickelback, Blue Oyster Cult, Henry Rollins, Black flag, Tim Reynolds on his electric tour, and hundreds of other national acts. In 2003 JD started playing Guitar again and started working on singing and now he is again. He has had great success with The Bad Boys playing to crowds up to over 50,000 people. He is endorsed by Randall amplifiers. He plays with his teeth and also behind his head when he plays Jimi Hendrix. JD believes in giving the Audience a show not just music.
Tim Pearl Guitar and Vocals
Tim Pearl Started playing Guitar at the age of 15 in 1983. He is self taught and have been playing in bands soon after he started playing.
Some of the bands are TC and the Bitter Creek Band, Slick Ford, Smokehouse Brown, Blackland, Magnum Force and now JD and The Bad Boys.
Tim has opened up for Artist such as Michael Angelo Batio, The Southern Rock Allstars, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He work about 6 years in Avolon Ave. Recording Studio and has played with many famous musicians.
He is currently one of the lead guitarist in JD and The Bad Boys playing slide and burning up leads like there is no tomorrow.
"Chainsaw" A.K.A. Wayne Phelps Bass and Vocals
Wayne Phelps, bass and vocals is a native of Southeastern North Carolina, just north of the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand. Growing up within a family of musicians and singers influenced him early in life to learn to play guitar and the bass. His first bands played beach parties, boardwalk bars and moonlight cruises along the coast.
In 1978 he was hired to play bass for country artists at major theme parks around the south. He was privileged to meet legends Jerry Reed and Tom T Hall along with working with some of the great Nashville pickers of the time. During the 1980's Wayne traveled and recorded with Gospel and Contemporary Christian bands and artists throughout the US, while living in Atlanta, Ga.
The nineties brought Wayne back to NC and the regional music scene playing festivals and hundreds of club dates with old friends and road bands up and down the east coast.
In 2007 Wayne made a move back to the Huntsville, Alabama area to retreat from the hectic city life to live on his wife's family's farm. In early 2008 He met his good friend, Jeff Stephens at a local open jam session and jumped right back in to playing music full time with JD and The Bad Boys in early 2008.
Wayne, also known as "Chainsaw" to his musician friends uses Fender and G+L Basses.
Dave Matthies on Drums and Vocals
Inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. 25 years touring the United States with a wide range of different groups; played for Frank Gatlin, Lou Rawls, Little Richard, the Great Imposters, Johnny Ray Gomez, J.Frank Wilson to name a few.
Released two albums, three 45 rpm's in the 1980's & 90's with the group D.C.Matthies & Co. which opened for The Guess Who, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, The Grass Roots, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Ronnie Milsap, The Everly Bros., Bobby Vee, America, The Kingsmen, Tim Curry, Louie Anderson, The Kentucky Headhunters, Charlie Burton, The Vee's, among others. Accomplished Lead & back-up Singer, Guitarist and Drummer.
Fill in Drummers - Joe Brown, "Tator" from The Wiskey Straight Band AKA Danny Bradford, Chris Hodges, and James Irvin (Microwave Dave's Drummer), and Quinn Cook from 2 Days Gone Band.

JD and The Bad Boys will be the Official Band Madison Alabama for the Five Feathers Motor Cycle Rally (Friday Night Show), The Saturday Morning stop in Madison for the TRAIL OF TEARS Ceremonial Motor Cycle Ride for 2008 and 2009. They will be Kicking of the Ceremonial Weekend at Hooters Bike Night on The Thursday Night before.

The Headhunters MC of Decatur Alabama has contracted JD and The Bad Boys to be their Offical Band for their upcoming Bike and Car shows in 2009
JD and The Bad Boys are curently working on their 2009 tour into Florida, Kentucky, Tennesee, Alabama, Mississippi, and possibly Lousiana. The are currently booked for Several Bike events and are looking for more.
JD and The Bad Boys will be releasing some of their own music besides the current songs such as Bo Didley/George Thoroughgood Medley, Ladies You Look Soo Fine, Event Jam, and The Bad Boy Boogie. The songs will be released this summer are Cajun Midnight Picnic, What the Hell Happened?, and Under Construction and possibly a few more.

Five Feathers Motor Cycle Rally + Trail of Tears Motor Cycle Ride 2007/08/09
JD and The Bad Boys is the Official Band for the Five Feathers Motor Cycle Rally and the Trail of Teasr Stop in Madison Alabama for 2009.
September 15th 2007 Saturday Morning JD and The Bad Boys Played for an estimated 50,000 Motor Cycles and Riders coming through over a 3 hour Period. JD and The Bad Boys Rocked 3 hours straight non stop except for announcements and The Mayor of Madison's explaination of the Ride and his thank you to the people for their support speech.
In 2008 JD and The Bad Boys played to a smaller but very cool crowd since the Trail was split into 2 rides. The Riders and Festivities were Just as full with less bike but next year will be even bigger. Like every thing it usually get better and better.
The Bad Boys bring vast styles of music to the table from Funk, RNB, Blues, Progressive Metal, Jazz and of course Rock. This is changing the way the Bad Boys have been in the past. JD and The Bad Boys now plays all styles of music from 5 Decades with JD's Edge.
JD and The Bad Boys are endorsed by Randall Guitar amps, Eden Bass amplifiers, and Solid NRG PA and Monitor speakers. They are currently changing over all their Rigs. Check out JD and The Bad Boys to see how great the sound of these products are.
JD is playing through 2 - RM 4 preamps units with a PA power amplifier, 1 Randall 50B2 with 2 Randall R412NXT speaker cabinets. JD likes the Tweed module for the Blues and The Ultra XL, XTC, SL Plus, and the Don Donegan modules for his leads and Ryhtums.
The very cool thing about JD and the Bad Boys is every night they get requests for songs they have never played before as a band. JD and the Bad Boys will always perform those requests even if only 1 member knows the song. They will attempt it. You should come out and see JD and the Bad Boys play.
