What happens when you fuse, the sounds of House, Breaks, Hard House, Drum N Bass, Rock and Hip-Hop?
You get the unique sound of J.D. Funk, since 2000 Jeremy Barry aka J.D. Funk has been behind the decks rocking dance floors from coast to coast, bringing his one of a kind unique style of mixing, scratching, and stage presence to dance floors time and time again. Known by most as simply a multi-genere DJ, J.D. can bring sounds and elements from any type of medium, weather its simply rocking a club with some good old fashion house, and breaks or weather its delivering a mind bending, set that take you on a journey were no stone is left unturned.
J.D.'s musical knowledge and background did not start when he was introduce to the scene it goes back further than that, J.D. was a drummer through JR High, And High school, and also played the saxophone on top. J.D.s appreciation for music set him on an adventure, that would one day at the young age of 16 introduce him to the realm of DJing through "mobile" djing, doing a weekly event and other small traveling gigs, J.D. began to learn about what it took to be an all around DJ, the ability to track list, to talk to the crowed, to always be looking for new and improved ideas, soon after that J.D. found himself in the Club Djing on Friday nights in his home town at the beat of Top 40, during that time, is when J.D. was introduced to house music, and the rave scene, from there, it was no turning back.
Armed with all the knowledge he had music wise, and Djing wise, J.D. knew he could easily rule the techno world, after only 6 months of promoting and teaching himself the ropes, J.D. was playing for some of the biggest promoters in Seattle.
Since then J.D. Has Traveled and Played places like Or, Ca, NC, NY, Fl and all over his home state of Washington, and has shared the bill with Dj's like Irene. Kid Krazzy, Bam Bam, Lou is Osbourne, Dj Venom, Dj Swamp, Atomic Babies, Frankie Bones, Dj Trajic and many others.
J.D. has also been busy in the studio pumping out mixes, and doing re mixes, and producing his own original material, J.D. has taken his love of music to the studio, the same way he does behind the decks, his production blur the line of genre, and he produces anything from electro-house, to hard techno, to hip-hop, to drum n bass you can expect alot from J.D. this year as he is in the works of start his own label Korupt Recordings, which will feature music from all styles of music across the board, along with starting the label, J.D. has been doing his own remix work, and original production as well as working with other artists to come up with new ideas to push the sound further, you can find most of J.D.'s releases on beatport.com.
With everything that has happened during the last two months, I've decided to get another gym membership, pay off my bills, get accepted into my college program and save up for a trip with a couple of my girlies to either Italy, Ireland, or France. Got two girls on board already and they are two that won't bail so I betta start saving! You moved on from the drama mama yet? Not that it's an easy thing by any means but I hope you are doing well and keeping busy kid.
I'm good, busy busy at work, but everything is going well. Trying to get things back in pace again since I'm back home...phew! We need to go grab dinner sometime soon and catch up! I'm needing some Panera Bread fool!

Tonight will be my last night cleaning the old condo. Gonna clean from 6 to 9pm and then bounce out of there to the new place and try to get some sleep. I have not been able to sleep at all the past 2 nights and I'm absolutely exhausted...still haven't gotten use to the whole sleeping solo thing yet. I'm glad you had fun Saturday, I can tell by some of the pics cause they're outta focus, lol! Plus had a fainting spell yesterday...not fun! Think I wore myself out. Thankful to spend tomorrow night closing up shop on the condo and spending the entire evening at my new pad. Phew!
CopperCart and then the Swiss tomorrow fool! :) I seriously want to punch a baby right now, but at the same time, my hangover is totally worth it! I had SO much fun, my girls were cracking me up and I don't think I've ever had so many kisses from girls in one night! I will post my pics soon just not right now cause 1, I'm at work and 2, because I can't think properly. I kissed almost everything, including everyone's cheeks last night...repeatedly with the girlies! They were way worse than me...and I was the bday girl! I did feel like something or someone was missing from the festivities but my girls definitely did their best to cheer me up and try to not let me think of him. I danced my yittle booty off with my girls! Needless to say I hate high heels! Ha!

So I figured out how to not see the hurtfulness on FB too, I just blocked that person and now I can't see their comments or wall posts...or even their profile picture. This will make it easier for me to not be hurt. I want to hug him as much as I want to punch him. This whole love/hate thing is getting to me. I might be down to get out of the house actually. I feel like I just closed a door that I didn't want or mean to close. :( We could go to Yardarm maybe or a movie or something...I'll call ya after work.
Alright well you are welcome to come out Thursday but just warning ya, I am going to be occupied with EVERYONE ya know. Friday in belltown should be a blast and Saturday in Tacoma is going to be LOTS of fun :). I'm going to be exhausted when Sunday comes from all these going out nights and moving. Looking forward to it but at the same time not. Guess part of me still just wants to stay home and watch movies or go out and see a movie, but since I don't have the person I want there next to me, I am happy with quality friend time w the kids ;) So as soon as I block someone (so I can't see their status updates/mood anymore since it's too hurtful to see it and makes me miss him), he goes...after lecturing me that his friends are not mine and they should all delete me....to adding a recently new friend of mine so he can yet again try to get to me and try to hurt me. I just don't understand how someone who could sit there and say how they've never loved anyone as much as me and wanted to have babies w me, etc., could resort to that. It's no skin off my back to remove that person if it's necessary ya know. I'm not about the drama fo ya mama or forcing myself to see that kind of stuff (thus why I blocked him on myspace so I didn't have to see him trying to be cruel). For tomorrow, we're all going to be dressed up so keep that in mind :) Time to cheer ya girl up fool!

No worries kid :) I went to Lollies with Billy n Trevor anyways. Good to see old friends. As for today, I'm not sure how much I'll be wanting to shoot as I have a lil bit of a headache today and need to finish up packing.

I will have some free time to shoot this week. I was thinking about maybe going and seeing a movie today after I get a little bit more packing done.
