My first book after twenty years of writing and performing is up and ready for purchase. For those of you who are wondering Glasscock is not a fake name. It is my real last name. It is scottish, and yes, I am sure my ancestor was drunk at the time of choosing. :) I have a book coming out later in the year entitled "Street Hymns to the Disconnected" a compilation of some of my better poems and lyrics out of my ten chapbooks as well as some of my short films and an excerpt from one of my feature films. Keep an eye out and snag a copy when it hits....Blessings. My name is JD. I was the front man for the band Sofa King for many years as well as a music promoter and a slam poet. I quit all that three years ago to focus on film/novels. I have been writing now for 19 years, starting out as a slam poet in 1990. I represented O.C. CA in the nationals for slam poetry in 2000. I am originally from O.C., CA moving to Seattle, WA in 2000. I am currently single and pleasently so, focusing on accomplishing my aspirations, though you never know when the right girl might hit, but for right now focused. Anyway, that's me. I have 10 chapbooks of poetry, 7 short film scripts, 10 feature film scripts, a video game design, a graphic novel, a few novels, a children's book, and various other projects. I am 6'1 200 lbs, (ugly as ugly gets, haha or maybe not ugly, depending on which throne one sits)11 tattoos. Anything else, just ask.
