About me: I am, first and foremost, an artist. I fought it for years, trying to work at “real” jobs, but the call was too strong and the muse won out in the end. Painting is my passion (mostly acrylic and oil) and I work as a graphic designer to pay the bills. You can see some of my work, both fine art and commercial art, at http://www.jdmassie.com.
I try to balance hard work with a lot of fun and manage to do a pretty good job of it. I work hard and I play hard. I am husband to a beautiful, fiery redhead and father to two fabulous sons, both of whom get their fabulous good looks from their father.
I’m the lead singer in a band that we’ve just formed up called Big Hand Dave. We’ve decided that as our hook we will only play one hit wonders. We should be ready to start playing some gigs soon. That should be a blast.
I’m a poet, a writer, a musician, a great cook, I have a green thumb, and am very fortunate to have some very good friends who enjoy my company and sense of humor, or at least pretend to over a frosty libation or two!
Who I'd like to meet: Just about anybody who is interesting. If you are fake, or an asshole, or a conspiracy freak, stay away from me.
Hi JD! How have you been doing??? Are you gonna don your kilt and make it to the Renaissance Fest this year? It will be here before we know it! Hope all is well.
In the titillating glimpses of Nonsensical surreal madness truth reality There is something Reeking of salvation Inherent of the underneaths and hidden there Where God lurks where messages Unheeded in the turn of a day Everpresent omniscient nascent stuff of Dreams
I'm expecting to be a Human engaged with the world again sometime in the next 48 hours. Stay tuned. (heh. "stay tuned". like you're tuned. GET YOUR BUTT BACK HERE!)
