Sounds Like
With a loutish swagger and a glitzy glam snarl, jealous are cutting loose from manchester. With guitars slung low and arms held high, they kick out the jams with loose limbed rock n roll.
There are echos of hendrix, t-rex and the stones, but this is no retro outfit, this is right here, right now and jealous burn with a devilish lust and smoulder like james dean. Front man jason edge defines the band with a hip swaggering, riff riding lyric sh@gging howl. One moment, preening narcissus, the next deflating the macho. Jason is gutsy and confident with the right mix of camp strut that is at the heart of all great performers. Jealous sneer at new lad indie and despise vacant game show pop.
Jealous are here to save the world from boredom! If you think its a bold statement then check it all out for yourself. The boys fly out to the states on Sept 4th to promote a brand new 4 track Ep released on new American Indie label "Octave Match". The "Stardust Ep"is packed full of Glamtastic riffs and Pop hooks all delivered with a Rock n Roll punch thats a Knockout blow! The Ep was recorded at the Wonderful "Vibe studios" in Manchester, England & Produced by Yves Altana & Martin Coogan. The dates above a just a taster as Jealous cram in Radio/Magazine and TV interviews as well as acoustic shows. A TV film crew are following the boys as part of a "Fly on the wall documentary" about a band trying to break with a new record. Listen to the sampler above and then just try and convince yourself you dont need to own a copy of "The Stardust Ep"!!
