For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His (2 Chronicles 16:9).
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24).
I want to be among those whom God is seeking those who will worship in spirit and in truth, those who will get in line with what He has defined as worship. Worshipping in truth means worshipping according to truth. What is truth? God defines truth. God reveals truth. Therefore, in order for my worship to be the kind of worship for which God Himself is looking, it must be in keeping with the revealed truth that God has already defined. I cannot create my own expression and label it as worship. The only thing that pleases God is that which is in keeping with His own purposes and glory. If I want to please God, I must allow Him to create worship in me, even as I am seeking His heart. My worship must be born of the Spirit of God. It must ultimately come from Him, through Him and to Him. This is worshipping in spirit. It is a sacred union, a holy participation with the Lord.
