As one of the earliest pioneers of the 9-string bass, Nuclear Rabbit's Jean Baudin has been taking the instrument to an entirely new level since 1999.
Jean is known throughout the world for his work with Nuclear Rabbit and Element of Surprise. Jean's style mixes intense tapping, slapping and fingerstyle. Primarily self-taught, Jean has studied privately with guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Becker as well as bassist Wally Voss. Over the years, Jean's bands have shared the stage with groups such as: System of a Down, Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm, Deftones, P.O.D., Linkin Park, A.F.I., Green Day, Mindless Self Indulgence and Bad Brains. As a solo performer Jean has performed and taught clinics alongside Stu Hamm & Michael Manring.
Jean, I absolutely love all of the songs you have up. I've been listening to your stuff for a few years and I still love the sound you get in the tracks. Come to Massachusetts! :D Keep playing!

You are a very complete musician. I find your compositions to be emotional, dynamic, and fluid. There are those lofty memories; hidden in time in grey corners of a childhood dream that only symphonies can retrieve and you have captured that. Thanks for being you.
Transcend is one of the greatest peices of music I've ever heard. It makes me think about things that have happened in my life, and how you have to just keep going.
