As one of the earliest pioneers of the 9-string bass, Nuclear Rabbit's Jean Baudin has been taking the instrument to an entirely new level since 1999.
Jean is known throughout the world for his work with Nuclear Rabbit and Element of Surprise. Jean's style mixes intense tapping, slapping and fingerstyle. Primarily self-taught, Jean has studied privately with guitarists Marty Friedman and Jason Becker as well as bassist Wally Voss. Over the years, Jean's bands have shared the stage with groups such as: System of a Down, Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm, Deftones, P.O.D., Linkin Park, A.F.I., Green Day, Mindless Self Indulgence and Bad Brains. As a solo performer Jean has performed and taught clinics alongside Stu Hamm & Michael Manring.
Just bought Solace, very nice work! I've always been fascinated with Transcend, and I'm glad to have a collection of your solo pieces- they are very musical and I always appreciate when someone values music and soul more than showing off techniques.
I have nothing to say! You have said it all and I am so Honored that you took my Req. I Simply am Amazed and will come back often and tell many others! Love and Peace and Music. CHOLEY
Jean, Listening to your music in my studio just inspired the most amazing personal expression of my 8 string bass played at massive volume while reverberating my drum kit and causing me to start playing my bass with a drum stick while simultaneously playing the cymbals and leading into a cosmic intercourse of feedback that lead into a silent yoga type stretching state of bliss. Thanks for adding me as a friend.
