Jeanette’s last two years of college, (Berklee College of Music) was complied of playing lead alto saxophone with the Berklee Female Big Band: touring the East Coast with a funk/folk band, Shake Senora; and playing around Boston with her college professor, Frank Wilkins.
Upon graduation, Jeanette Harris began her working career as an entertainer. She’s opened for many great artist including; The Rippingtons; Eric Marienthal; Kirk Whalum; Eloise Laws; Denise Williams; Paul Jackson Jr.; Veretta Hathaway; Midnight Star; Debra Laws; Najee; Norman Brown; Marion Meadows; Mo Nique; and Michael Lington.
Jeanette has also had the privilege of performing with; Phil Perry; Howard Huit; Andre Fisher; Gail Johnson; A. Sivamani; Everette Harp; Kirk Whalum; Elosise Laws; Michael Ward; Will Barrow; Ray Fuller; Eric Marienthal; Pandit Habib Khan; and Lenny Williams.
In 2005, Jeanette was recognized as “Shooting Star” and nominated for “Best Jazz Instrumentalist” by the L.A Black Music Awards.
Jeanette Has played in many venues around the United States from big jazz festivals to exclusive private events. Ms. Harris recently did a three-month tour of Japan where she performed and did studio work. Jeanette will continue to strive to perfect the talent God blessed her with and to share her music with the world!
