JEAN-JACQUES PERREY Bio:
Jean-Jacques Perrey is a legend, and a pioneer in the popular electronic music field. He was the second musician to ever own a Moog Synthesizer, and one of the first to record with it, way back in 1966. Over the past five decades, Perrey has released many classic MOOG albums, featuring his trademark crazy tape loops and his catchy original melodies. His theme "Baroque Hoedown" (co-composed with Gershon Kingsley) has been featured as part of Disneyland's much-loved "Main Street Electrical Parade" for over 30 years. Even today, Perrey's music has been sampled by countless popular Hip-hop and Rap artists, including Ice T, DJ Premier, Gangstarr, and many others. At age 77, Perrey is still very much active, and still creating "Music for Smiles and Laughs".
Perrey comments: "Today, more than ever, mankind continues to face so many negative influences. So, many years ago I decided to make it my musical mission to contribute by bringing more optimism, humor and faith in the future to all my brothers and sisters of this planet."

Thank you very much friends and in the words of Jean-Jacques, "Keep Smiling"!
DANA COUNTRYMAN Bio:
As a kid, Dana Countryman took the usual piano lessons, but he says he never did well in his lessons, and (just like Jean-Jacques) never learned how to read music. He taught himself to play the piano (by ear) at age 16, and started writing songs, influenced by the Beatles and the Carpenters. At 17, Dana became fascinated with Jean-Jacques' Vanguard records, and he remembers taking them to high school. "In French class, I was too busy studying the cover art to JJ's records, to bother to learn to speak French!"
Years later, Dana was in many bands, from rock 'n' roll bands to jazz and lounge groups, and for 7 years, Dana was the editor and publisher of a music publication called COOL AND STRANGE MUSIC MAGAZINE. The magazine had a loyal readership, with subscribers all over the world. One of the readers' favorite artists was Jean-Jacques Perrey, who appeared on the cover of two different issues. Jean-Jacques eventually considered Dana his official biographer, due to his many interviews with JJ, and in 2000 Dana traveled to France to meet JJ face-to-face in Paris.
The two met again, in person, in 2003, when they recorded a tune together in David Chazam's Paris recording studio. That laid the foundation down for their first CD, "The Happy Electropop Music Machine" on Oglio Records (2006.) Dana says "Jean Jacques and I have been friends now for 14 years, and I never dreamed when I was carrying his albums to high school, that someday we'd become good friends, AND record two CDs together!"
