"Jeanne Jolly's singing cleanses like a warm summer rain. Strong and sure, it covers everything with a slight Alison Krauss-style melancholy and a hope for what's to come... She stretches out her words, creating seductively lanquid lyrics” Andrew Ritchey, Indy Weekly

“Jeanne Jolly has a heavenly voice…Jolly embodies the traits of an established performer who has been playing juke joints and concert halls for 20 years. At her last performance in Durham at the Carolina theatre, Jolly blew away her hometown audience......
“Her performances as a guest singer with highly regarded trumpeter Chris Botti a few years ago proved that in a virtual sea of singers, she is more than a catch. But that was just jazz….The raw purity of what some would call “true” country is evident in each song, backed by sturdy country instrumentation — an imperative piece to the country music puzzle.”

“A performance with the Pacific Symphony in California inspired a man in the audience to tell her that he cried when she sang “What’ll I Do” jolly said. “That is What it is all about.-creating music to reflect on memories, to bring joy, to heal and to communicate in ways you can’t otherwise.””

"Her voice is a trained and undeniably beautiful instrument with which she has complete command. Yet it's her soulful and subtly Appalachian tone that really resonates with audiences. This union of skill and soul is as rare as the combination of gorgeous looks and wonderful personality that she is also blessed with in abundance. She is simply the best harmony singer I have ever had the pleasure to sing with. Jeanne Jolly is a singer’s singer."

"Jeanne Jolly is one of the most versatile singers I've ever had the pleasure
of working with, The sweetness in her voice is only out shadowed by the
sweetness in her soul. She's a joy to work with on every level."

Classical Voice of North Carolina
***************************************************************************
Growing up in Raleigh, NC with an active and unconditional loving family gave me a strong foundation for an openness to music. We spent a lot of time camping in the Appalachian Mountains where the air is filled with bluegrass and years later I graduated from Western Carolina University nestled deep in the Blue Ridge. There I studied classical voice and tried everything from opera, to jazz, blues, & bluegrass. I continued my opera studies at New England Conservatory and left Boston with a Masters in Vocal Performance. While living in Los Angeles, I landed a great gig as the featured vocalist for Grammy Award winning Jazz Trumpeter Chris Botti and toured with him for a year all over the U.S. and Canada. I'm so grateful for that experience and the opportunity to perform with an all star band, sometimes joined by a symphany, in venues that I've always dreamed of.
I've had an absolute ball stripping back down to what I have always loved...the beautiful simple melodic nature and lyrical content of pure country/rock/Americana. In doing this, I have risen into a beautiful musical community of true musicians with a lot of heart and a ton of creativity. I have always loved singing this music. It feels like home and it's good to be back North Carolina sharing it.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Here's the size screw and type you need for your hoop: machine screw/round head phillips 6-32 x 1 1/4. You can pick that up at any hardware store. And don't forget to get the nut that fits. Hey, Rachel wanted me to ask you if your taking Caroleeena's class in Raleigh?
what a thrill it was to come home from a long hard day at work to find a message from you in my inbox. Jeanne we miss you so much...you melt my heart everytime I hear you sing. Love you so much! I'm so happy you found a hoop class...awesome man. Rachel's asleep right now so I don't know what size screw she uses on those hoops but any old screw that will fit with a nut on the end will work. I'll ask her in the morning and fire you off another message with the exact size. Hoop Convergence happens every year in NC. Rachel has been to both the past two years and she keeps trying to get me to come. Maybe we can come visit you next year while we're there for Hoop Convergence. I sure hope you make a trip to LA in the fall. Love to see you and hang out. Oh, by the way, I love your profile pic. That is an awesome shot, you standing there with your back to the camera holding your guitar. BRILLIANT!!
How the hell are ya? Hope all is well. Rachel and I miss you so much. How was your most recent show with Stonehoney? We were spinning last night in Sierra Madre. Bobby Joyner and the Sundowners played last night. Really miss you and want to see you. Any plans for you in the future to visit LA?
