In no particular order... spirituality, writing, poetry, reading, creating art, theatre, singing, music, metaphysics (all disciplines). I collect and work with crystals (including crytal skulls!) and gemstones, Tarot decks. I create and collect art cards (ATC's and ACEO's), and would love to connect with other artists and collectors.
Music
My musical tastes are eclectic. I love everything from jazz to ballads of the 30's and 40's, musical theatre, a capella, madrigals, pop, the music of my youth (late 70's, 80's), classical, Native American flute, "New Age".
Movies
THE PRINCESS BRIDE, WHAT DREAMS MAY COME, THE SECRET, any movie in which Johnny Depp appears -- he is a brilliant actor with intense charismatic gifts, CHOCOLAT, A WALK IN THE CLOUDS (visually stunning and romantic), THE WHALE RIDER, SHREK (1 & 2), LOGAN'S RUN, the HARRY POTTERS and LORD OF THE RINGS movies... I could go on and on. For more info on THE SECRET (I can't recommend this movie enough!) go to www.thesecret.tv!
Television
LOST, HEROES, THE OFFICE, and, yes, the guiltiest pleasure of all -- AMERICAN IDOL. I get into bed with Jon Stewart and Steve Colbert every night I can.
Books
Wow... I couldn't possibly even start a list. I'll ponder this one and get back to you. Current rave is A DIRTY JOB by Christopher Moore... dark humor at its best!
Heroes
My mom! She has always been one of my personal heroines!
Christopher Dunn, my husband -- I have never known a more honorable man.

Jeanne Ooops! Haven't checked MySpace in months. Literally. Lots to catch up on! And weekend's almost here! WOOT! Posted at 12:52 PM Oct 8 view more
My roles are many. Wife, mom, stepmom, daughter, sister, friend, writer, artist, spiritualist, reader, housewife, chauffer, zookeeper, poet, lover of the performing arts (including doing it myself).
I am 48 years old, happily married to the love of my life, deeply committed to the raising of our boys (one son, two stepsons -- though the elder stepson is now in his first apartment and on his own, and I miss him!).
In addition to my family, my passions are spirituality/metaphysics, writing, art (drawing, painting, digital art), performing, and animals. Love critters! We have three cats and two dogs.
I was born and raised just north of Boston, and I relocated to the midwest over 12 years ago. Part of me is still in shock! I miss New England every day, but think I'm finally allowing a few wee roots to dip into the rich midwest soil.
When I'm not on the job, with family and home, I pursue spiritual and metaphysical studies, do readings, create art, read, write, and play with the dogs and cats.
I've just completed my first semester of classes in my pursuit of an ASA, and then I'll transfer to a four-year college for a Bachelors. It'll probably take years, and I'm still waffling on my major -- probably art, English and/or psychology or some combination of two or three of those. I'm currently maintaining a 4.0 gpa! But, Lord, do I hate math!
I have performed with Danville Light Opera - our local community musical theatre company. Most recently I was cast as Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man. The show just closed, and I'm in the post-show-blues phase, but have a lot of school work and house work to catch up on. I was also elected to the DLO board of directors and look forward to contributing.
Check out my blog for more current info! I'll be updating it any day now. I hope.
Who I'd like to meet: Kindred Spirits! Artists! Writers! Those interested in metaphysics, Tarot, crystals! I would love to connect with someone who might be interested in a collaborative writing experience. I am drawn to people who write well. I respect things like vocabulary, punctuation and grammar. (The internet can be a scary place for people who love the written word!)
ART! Although I consider myself a hobbyist at the moment, it's a lack of time and space at home to create a permanent studio. I would love to create all the time. Professionally! I have to be patient, though, and all too soon, our boys will be off to college, and then there will probably be too much space!
That said, I revel in the creation of art, with a focus now on ACEO's (art cards). There is a photo album of some of my art in the Pic section here. I am a moderator in the most incredible group of artists on eBay... wonderful, gifted people!
I also enjoy conversations (real time or via email) of depth, substance, wit and wisdom. Creative people inspire me!
Disclaimer: I have a real problem with this "top friends" thing on My Space. I'm an Aquarian, for cryin' out loud! I don't put my friends in order!!! I love them all! So I've set my friends on RANDOMIZE! :)
as a veteran i have read the VA's Book of Death.. here are my page by page thoughts on it: (you should be listening to "suicide is painless" from MASH when you read it) The veterans book of death… AKA “Your life .. Your choice”
It should be called “Dead Veterans Make Good Veterans”
There are those who believe that man must die on the field of battle to be honored this day… but what about those whose wounds take years to kill them?
My brother in law Master Chief Petty Officer Joseph F. Warnes (pix above with my father Herbert A. Luehrs Cdr. USN Ret.) was poisoned by Agent Orange in Vietnam, and died from complications as a direct result of it, in January of 2008. He suffered greatly, without complaint, proud to the end of his 23 years of service to our country.
My father in law Sgt. Aniceto C. Ticzon, a Filipino trooper fought along side General Douglas MacArthur’s soldiers and was taken prisoner by the Japanese at the fall of Corregidor. He survived the Bataan death march, and later escaped from a Japanese prison camp. Sgt. Ticzon fought with the Philippine resistance forces until the return of the American military when he rejoined them fighting for the liberation of the Philippine Islands. He suffered many wounds in the process and died years later from complications of a bayonet wound to his belly. His service to the American Forces during World War Two qualified him for American citizenship but he died before his paper work was completed.
These two men severed their God, Jesus Christ and did their duty for their home and country, at great personal expense. Their lives were terribly altered and cut short, due to the wounds they suffered in defense of freedom and as a result of war.
I for one will honor them this day as I will our other family members who over the years fought our countries wars…. And came home on their shields
God Bless them and all the wounded warriors who came home only to die in forgotten rooms at dates unknown…
JUST REMEMBER ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 Have a Great Life God Bless You kirk
