This heres a story about a band named Jeb's Clampett. Though the band is in it's infancy, it turns out there are a number of people who haven't heard Jeb's Clampett live yet. In fact, 9 out of 10 dentists polled said though they haven't heard the power trio yet, they thought the song list was a smash. How could 9 out of 10 dentists be wrong? (turns out the 10th dentist was a hack with no license, so his opinion didn't even matter!). Here is an actual conversation with one of the nine dentists.
Reporter: Have you ever caught Jeb's Clampett Live? Dentist: No, but i saw him on TV a few times. Reporter: Well, that would be Jed Clampett. Dentist: Their song list makes me mental! I love those songs! Reporter: But its not dancey music you know. Dentist: Dancey Schmancey, I love Robin Trower and Led Zeppelin!
And so it goes. What happens when a 25-year veteran of the Southwest Suburban club scene, who can rip off any British rock guitar solo (or domestic, for that matter) throws in with a hungry college-edumacated musician? Do the vocal harmonies make you want to listen to Simon and Garfunkel? Do the Keith Carlock school of rock/jazz fills make you want to take drum lessons? Do you wanna see a stack of Marshalls melt from controlled feedback? Well then come see Jebs Clampett!!
Disclaimer--None of the aforementioned is likely to happen, however, faithful reproductions of some kick-ass songs will occur, and we might even make you tolerate our own brand of Rock n' Roll!!
