Movies
Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars saga, The Princess Bride, Kevin Smith films (e.g., Clerks, Dogma), Office Space, FireFly/Serenity, and I love Pixar movies and the Shrek trilogy...
Television
Food Network (especially 'Good Eats' and 'Iron Chef America'), 'Battlestar Galactica' (bummed that 2008 will be its last season), the Golf Channel. Truthfully, the TV is usually just on for background noise. During Hockey season I watch that more than anything else...

Heroes
My Grandfather, Quincy Elbert McPhail, who served 25 years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot (he had Master Aviator Wings). He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 in 1969 after serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He had, among other medals, 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 9 Air Medals and served in the 7th Special Forces. We get to live free because of men like him and all the men and women in the U.S. Armed forces.
