I am not a big fan of art (mostly as I am hopeless at it myself), but I do enjoy M.C. Escher's works and other such optical illusions. "M.C. Escher, that's my favorite M.C."

Music
While working with my uncle as a mobile DJ in the 1980's, I was subjected to a wide variety of music styles, everything from Englebert Humperdink and Neil Diamond to Krokus and Venom. My personal favourites reflect this variety. I like parody music, where existing songs of all genres are re-written with new words, to make them say something entirely different. The current king of parody is Weird Al Yankovic.
Aside from parody, I really like rap and hip-hop music, and my current favourite is Akon. "I'd like to roll with the gangstas, although it's apparent I'm too White and nerdy."
Television
I love anything to do with SciFi, and was raised on classics like the original Star Trek (with William Shatner and Leonard Nimmoy), and Dr Who (with Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker respectively as the Doctor). "Only question I ever thought was hard was 'Do I like Kirk or do I like Picard?'"
Books
In case I haven't mentioned already, I love the Barsoom series of sci-fi novels, written by Edgar Rice Burroughs between 1911 and 1941. You might have noticed that I haven't changed my MySpace page very much lately. I have been busy concentrating on building my new "home" on the Internet. Yes, it's true, I'm moving on, I'm leaving MySpace! Well, not completely, I'll still have a page here, but my new home is so much better than MySpace ever will be.

WELCOME! This is the online presence of Jed Kantos. This is my place, my home, on the Internet.
Anybody who knows the name Kantos Kan will probably also know that he was in fact a padwar in the navy of Helium, only being responsible for a unit of 10 soldiers. I took the liberty of promoting him to the rank of Jed, making him one of the military commanders of the city of Helium. Subsequently, I took on the username of jedkantos for my online presence, as it was unique.
Anybody who doesn't know the name Kantos Kan probably skipped classes in classic American literature. Shame on you! Kantos Kan is the name of a character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs (yes, ERB, the same classic novellist who wrote the Tarzan series).
Kantos Kan is a friend and fighting companion of John Carter, the hero of ERB's Barsoom series of novels, of which I am a big fan. If you are interested, you can download your own copies of some of the Barsoom series novels right here from my MySpace page. See below.
