Dear MC Community
My Name is Marquette Hairston a/k/a SEXICANA; in the past year Lupus has invaded my family twice. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). It started with a small sore that wouldn't go away. Six months later January of 2008 I was diagnosed with Lupus (of the skin). I now have lesions on my forehead and on my right cheek.
My 22 year old sister Marzette was diagnosed with Lupus (in the blood) in October 2008. To look at her she looks healthy and having a two year old, Marzette thought her fatigue was normal until we discussed other symptoms she had. Although we suffer from two different forms of Lupus we have very similar symptoms and daily struggles.(Marzette has battle kidney disease, her left kidney being removed 4 years ago)
We are the only known family members out of five generations with this disease. Though this disease has drastically changed our lives both mentally & physically we know the importance of educating and making others aware to help find a cure.
We are asking that you team up with our Organization, Peaches and Cream Motorcycle Club and provide financial help for our first "Lupus Foundation of America" fundraiser to be held on:

Peaches and Cream Motorcycle Club of Yonkers, NY was founded in March of 2008 by our President Brown Sugar. The club "Peaches and Cream" was originally founded in Philadelphia, PA, 2004 by Sexy E, which is our Mother Chapter.
We are a group of women who are dedicated to giving back to the community and our youth. This day of AWARENESS & EDUCATING will be full of fun, fashion, entertainment for all!
